Are There Mosquito Bite Marks on Your Baby? Learn 10 Ways to Get Rid of Them!

Since Indonesia is a tropical country, it’s no surprise that mosquitoes are a frequent nuisance. It’s not uncommon for them to bite your baby, leaving itchy, uncomfortable bumps. You may even need ways to get rid of mosquito bite marks on your baby.  This is because the bites often cause mild to severe irritation on the surface of your skin. The irritation can also sometimes cause the marks to turn dark. Mosquitoes can also carry pathogens that cause serious diseases, such as dengue fever and malaria.[1]  So, learn how to treat dark mosquito bite marks on your baby as well as fresh bites in the following guide!  1. Aloe Vera If you’re wondering about natural ways to get rid of mosquito bite marks on your baby, aloe vera may be the answer. This herbal plant can help modulate inflammation, promote wound contraction and epithelialization, and repair damaged skin tissue.[2] This makes wounds caused by insect bites easier to treat. Aloe vera also has a soothing effect that calms the skin. It is also safe to use on your little one. 2. Cucumber Paste If your baby’s mosquito bite marks have turned dark, you can use cucumber paste to help fade them. Cucumber is rich in phytochemicals and water, which can help reduce dark spots.  It’s easy to make: simply mash a cucumber and apply it to the bump on your little one’s skin.  3. Cold Water You can actually reduce inflammation with ice cubes. However, ice isn’t very safe for babies, so you can use cold water instead. Try wetting a towel or cloth with cold or room-temperature water, then place it on the bump as a compress.  4. Baking Soda You can also make your own ointment to treat mosquito bite marks on your baby by mixing baking soda with water. This ointment can also help relieve itchy skin. Leave it on for about 10 minutes, then wash it off with soap and clean water.[3] 5. Honey Another option is honey, which can reduce inflammation and help prevent infection on your baby’s skin. The itching and pain from the bite will gradually begin to fade. Your little one is also less likely to be left with a dark mark on their skin.  6. Peppermint Oil If you’re wondering how long mosquito bites take to go away on a baby, the marks usually disappear within 3–7 days. This is because menthol can help relieve itchy skin.[4] This oil is also safe for babies, so you don’t need to worry.  7. Baby Moisturizer You can also use a moisturizer or lotion to fade dark mosquito bite marks on your baby. Keeping the skin moisturized can help it heal faster. Just make sure the formula is suitable for your little one to avoid an allergic reaction.  8. Anti-Itch Ointment for Babies If the bumps are severe, you can use an anti-itch ointment. Before applying it to your little one’s skin, however, make sure the formula is safe for babies. If possible, ask your doctor which ointment is suitable for your baby. 9. Coconut Oil Another option that’s just as worth trying is coconut oil. It can help relieve itchy skin, and it can also moisturize and provide the hydration your skin needs. What’s more, since it contains no harmful ingredients, coconut oil is very safe for a baby’s skin.  10. Telon Oil Lastly, you can apply telon oil to the bumps to help the marks fade faster. One example is Tiga Anak Telon Oil by Sido Muncul, which can help fade bite marks while protecting your little one from insect bites.  Its ingredients can also moisturize the skin, thanks to coconut oil, which is good for your baby’s skin health. It also contains fennel oil, which has anti-inflammatory properties, and Ambon eucalyptus oil, which helps warm the body. You can apply this telon oil evenly to your little one’s skin, especially the itchy areas. It will create a warm, soothing sensation at the same time, helping the marks fade much faster.  So, if you’re looking for ways to get rid of mosquito bite marks on your baby, this telon oil may be the answer. Baby Has Bloating? Try These 10 Remedies!

Did you know that all babies experience bloating or gas during the first two months of life? This is because they spend nine months in the amniotic fluid, so they have little experience with oxygen outside the womb.[1] So, you still need to know how to relieve gas in babies.  Besides having little experience breathing, they also have little experience passing gas. This can make them fussy, cry, scream, turn red in the face, burp too often, and feel uncomfortable. That’s why you need to help them.  So, what should you do when your baby has gas? If you’re still unsure, here are a few steps you can take!  1. Make Sure Your Baby Burps During and After Feeding The first thing you can do is make sure your baby can release gas from their tummy, especially during and after feeding. This is because babies often accidentally swallow air while feeding, which can make them feel bloated. In general, relieving gas in babies from birth onward this way is quite easy. Simply hold your baby upright and let their head rest on your shoulder. Then gently pat your baby's back until they burp.[2] 2. Adjust Your Feeding Position You can also adjust your position while feeding. Try to keep your baby's head higher than their tummy. This position makes it easier for them to burp because the milk flows down into their stomach while the air rises. 3. Tilt the Milk Bottle Slightly Upward If you're looking for ways to relieve gas in a formula-fed baby, bottle position is key. Try tilting the bottle slightly upward while feeding your baby. This helps minimize the air bubbles that enter your baby's tummy along with the milk.  4. Make Sure You Choose the Right Bottle Also, be sure to choose the right bottle. During the first few months, you can choose a bottle with a slow flow and a small nipple opening. However, make sure your baby can still get milk without having to suck too hard.  You can also choose a vented bottle to prevent air bubbles from forming.[3] These air bubbles are a major cause of bloating in your baby.  5. Feed Your Baby Before They Get Hungry Besides air bubbles in the milk, your baby may also feel bloated because they cry too much. So, you don’t need to wait until your baby is hungry and crying before feeding them. You can breastfeed your baby every 2–4 hours.  6. Give a Gentle Massage Another way to relieve gas in babies from one month old onward is to give them a gentle massage. A massage can help gas leave your baby's tummy, either through burping or passing wind. However, you need to be careful when massaging your baby.  7. Give Them a Warm Bath You can also give your baby a warm bath to relieve bloating. A bath can help your baby feel more relaxed, which can ease their discomfort. Once relaxed, they may find it easier to pass gas.  8. Change Their Milk If you’ve tried all of the above but your baby's tummy still hasn’t improved, you may need to change their milk. Your baby may not tolerate the milk they’re being given, especially if you’re using formula. So, try to breastfeed exclusively during the first 0–6 months.  9. Apply Red Onion You can also try a traditional remedy for gas in babies, such as red onion. Red onion can warm your baby's tummy, making it easier for them to pass wind and burp. It’s easy to do: simply rub red onion on their tummy.  10. Apply Telon Oil Lastly, if your baby has a bloated, hard tummy, you can rub telon oil on their tummy. For example, Sido Muncul Tiga Anak Telon Oil can ease your baby's bloating. This telon oil is safe to use and won’t feel too hot on your baby's skin.  In addition, this telon oil can protect your baby from mosquito bites and moisturize their skin.  So, besides being a way to relieve gas in babies, Sido Muncul Tiga Anak Telon Oil offers many other benefits. You can apply this telon oil to your baby's tummy, back, legs, and arms. You can also give them a gentle massage to help release gas from their tummy. Shop Smart and Save at Sido Muncul Store! Want Healthy, Clear Skin? Discover 10 Ways to Care for It

Basically, your body needs to be cared for to keep your appearance looking its best. In addition to maintaining a well-proportioned figure, you should also take care of your skin. That’s why you need to know how to keep your body skin healthy and clean. In fact, the steps for caring for your body skin are not difficult at all. The same goes for your facial skin. You can take care of it by following a few tips and methods below!  1. Bathe at the Right Frequency Broadly speaking, bathing is the most important way to keep your body skin from looking dull. Without bathing, it is difficult to achieve healthy, clean skin. However, you need to pay attention to how often you bathe: not too rarely, but not too often either.  If you bathe too infrequently, dust, dirt, and germs will cling to your skin and make it look dull. However, bathing too often can easily dry out your skin. Ideally, you should bathe about 1–2 times a day, depending on whether or not you sweat excessively.  2. Choose Lukewarm Water for Your Bath Bathing in hot water can indeed have a positive effect on mental well-being, as it can help you feel relaxed and calm. However, it is not as beneficial for your skin, which becomes more prone to dryness.[1] So, the next tip for keeping your body skin healthy and moisturized is to use lukewarm water when bathing. 3. Don’t Forget to Moisturize Basically, applying moisturizer regularly is the most fundamental way to maintain skin health. This is especially true if your skin tends to get dry easily. That’s because moisturizer can provide the extra nourishment your skin needs from the outside.  4. Don’t Forget Sunblock & Sunscreen Moisturizer isn’t the only thing you should remember to use—you also need sunblock and sunscreen. These are essential for maintaining the health of your facial and body skin because they protect you from harmful UV rays. You can use sunblock on your body and sunscreen on your face.  5. Avoid Excessive Sun Exposure It’s true that you can’t avoid sunlight altogether, especially if you spend a lot of time outdoors. Without protection, you can stay in the sun for only 10–60 minutes at most, depending on your skin type. The fairer your skin, the less time you can spend in the sun.[2] If you use sunblock and sunscreen, you can generally stay in the sun for 1–5 hours, depending on the SPF. Any longer, and you may get sunburned.  6. Get Your Daily Vitamins If you’re looking for a natural way to make your body skin fairer and smoother, vitamins are the answer. This is because almost all vitamins help protect against UV radiation. They not only protect your skin but also help address sun damage.  Vitamins can also have a positive effect on certain inflammatory skin conditions, such as atopic dermatitis and psoriasis.[3] The best vitamins for your skin are vitamins A, C, E, D, and B3.  7. Eat More Fiber Along with vitamins, you should also pay attention to your fiber intake. Fiber can help reduce inflammation and remove toxins from the skin. It can also help your body absorb other nutrients that your skin needs more effectively.  8. Eat Collagen-Rich Foods Another important component for skin health is collagen. That’s because collagen can make your skin more supple, plump, and moisturized.[4] So, make sure to regularly eat collagen-rich foods such as beef, chicken, fish, avocados, and more. 9. Avoid Smoking and Alcohol You should also avoid smoking and alcohol, as both can negatively affect your skin health. Smoking exposes your skin to toxic substances, while alcohol can deplete your skin of nutrients—particularly vitamin A—as well as moisture. 10. Drink Herbal Remedies to Care for Your Skin Finally, you can also care for your skin in a more traditional way by consuming herbal ingredients. The best choice is Sido Muncul Jamu Galian Putri, which can help care for your skin. It can also help reduce body fat and leave you feeling refreshed.  This herbal blend contains honey, lime, black turmeric, terminalia, and betel leaves, all of which offer significant skin benefits. It is also rich in fiber and contains vitamins, helping nourish your skin from within. So, if you’re looking for a way to keep your body skin healthy and clean, remember to drink Sido Muncul Jamu Galian Putri every day. Try it today! Discover 10 Benefits of Vitamin C for Pregnant Women and Their Unborn Babies

As a good mother-to-be, you need to pay attention to your nutritional intake during pregnancy to support your health and that of your baby. Of course, you’ll need a variety of nutrients, including vitamin C. That’s because vitamin C has many different benefits for pregnant women.  So, if you’re wondering whether vitamin C is safe during pregnancy, the answer is yes. In fact, you need at least 85 mg of vitamin C per day to help your metabolism function properly. The maximum recommended amount is 2,000 mg per day.[1] If you’d like to know about the benefits of taking vitamin C during the first trimester of pregnancy, as well as the second and third trimesters, here’s a list of its benefits!  1. Reduces the Risk of Placental Abruption One benefit of vitamin C during the third trimester of pregnancy is that it may reduce the risk of placental abruption.[2] This is a condition in which some or all of the placenta separates from the wall of the uterus before delivery. Vitamin C may help the placenta attach more firmly to the uterus.  2. Reduces the Risk of Premature Rupture of Membranes Vitamin C can also help repair damaged body tissues, including the amniotic sac. Therefore, regular vitamin C intake may reduce the risk of your water breaking prematurely. This may be especially helpful if you also take vitamin E.  3. Helps Wounds Heal Faster Another benefit of vitamin C during the second trimester of pregnancy, as well as the first and third trimesters, is that it helps wounds heal faster. This is because it can stimulate collagen production in the skin. It also has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antimicrobial properties that may reduce the risk of infection.[3] 4. Helps Prevent Mouth Ulcers In addition to supporting wound healing, vitamin C may also help prevent mouth ulcers. This is important because you may be more prone to mouth ulcers during pregnancy. This is due to increased estrogen and progesterone levels, which can cause changes in the tissues of the mouth.  5. Boosts Immunity for Both Mother and Baby Your immune system may also improve when you get enough vitamin C each day. That’s because this vitamin can help combat inflammation when viruses, bacteria, and other pathogens infect your body. At the same time, vitamin C also supports immune cells in fighting the infection.[4] As a result, you may get sick less often, and your baby’s health in the womb may be more stable.  6. Helps Rejuvenate the Skin During pregnancy, your skin may also be more prone to looking dull and showing signs of premature aging. Getting enough vitamin C each day may help. This is because the flavonoids it contains may help brighten the appearance of your skin.  Vitamin C can also help produce collagen, leaving your skin feeling more youthful, supple, and healthy. 7. Helps Relieve the Flu Vitamin C may also help if you get the flu while pregnant. In fact, taking vitamin C for the flu during pregnancy may help respiratory symptoms clear up faster. That’s because it has antiviral properties that can fight the influenza virus.  8. Helps Prevent Preeclampsia Pregnant women are also at risk of developing preeclampsia, a serious condition involving high blood pressure. This is because many changes take place in the body during pregnancy, significantly increasing the risk of blood vessel narrowing.  That’s why it’s important to get enough vitamin C each day, as it may help improve the elasticity of your blood vessels.  9. Supports Your Baby’s Tooth Development Vitamin C benefits not only the mother but also the baby’s development, particularly tooth growth. This is because vitamin C may positively affect dentin formation in your baby. Dentin provides structural support for the teeth.  10. Helps the Body Absorb Iron Finally, you also need vitamin C to help your body absorb iron. Iron plays a crucial role during pregnancy because your body needs it to carry blood and oxygen throughout the body, including to the uterus.  Iron deficiency can have serious consequences for both mother and baby because the body may not receive enough blood and oxygen. As a result, you may be more prone to illness and even miscarriage. So, make sure you get enough vitamin C every day to help your body absorb iron more effectively. It’s easy to do—for example, you can start taking Sido Muncul Vitamin C1000, a vitamin C supplement that’s safe during pregnancy and convenient to take.  You can enjoy all the benefits of vitamin C during pregnancy with Sido Muncul Vitamin C1000, which is rich in vitamin C. It also contains vitamin E, B3, B3 HCl, B6, B6 HCl, B12, and zinc picolinate to help make it even more beneficial. So, try it today! Shop Smart and Save at Sido Muncul Store! Don't Be Late: Find Out the Best Meal Times for People with Acid Reflux!

Meal times are especially important for people with acid reflux. When you eat late, your stomach starts producing irritating substances that can make you feel uncomfortable, dizzy, and nauseous.[1] So, it’s important to know the best meal times for people with acid reflux.  Ideally, you should eat at least 3 meals a day, with 2–3 snacks. The ideal interval is every 2–3 hours. This keeps your stomach from being empty and helps prevent stomach acid from causing irritation. You can adjust the schedule to fit your daily routine, but these are the best times to eat!  Best Meal Times for People with Acid Reflux Now that you know how many times a day people with acid reflux should eat—3 meals and 3 snacks—you can start following this meal schedule!  1. Breakfast The ideal breakfast time for people with acid reflux is between 7:00 and 9:00 a.m. However, if you need to leave for school, college, or work before 7:00 a.m., you can eat breakfast earlier. If you usually exercise in the morning, remember to eat something beforehand. It doesn’t have to be a full meal—just make sure your stomach isn’t empty. For example, you could have an apple and some water. You can eat the rest of your breakfast after exercising.  2. Lunch Breakfast isn’t the only meal you shouldn’t delay—lunch matters, too. Ideally, the lunch time for people with acid reflux is between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m. No matter how busy you are that day, make sure you don’t skip lunch. Work can wait, but your meal shouldn’t. 3. Dinner If you’re wondering whether people with acid reflux should avoid eating dinner, that’s not quite right. You shouldn’t skip dinner, but you should be mindful of when you eat. Ideally, have dinner between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m.  Try not to eat too late, especially if you plan to go straight to bed. You should wait 3 hours after eating to help prevent stomach acid from rising into your esophagus.[2] If you’re wondering about the best bedtime for people with acid reflux, you should ideally go to bed between 9:00 and 10:00 p.m. So, if you usually go to bed at 8:00 p.m., you can have dinner earlier, at 5:00 p.m. 4. Snack Time In addition to meal times, snack times are also important if you have acid reflux. Snacking helps keep your stomach from being empty, since food is digested within 2–3 hours. So, make sure to set aside time for snacks at least 2–3 times a day.  You can have your first snack between breakfast and lunch, around 10:00–11:00 a.m. Then, have another between lunch and dinner, around 2:00–4:00 p.m. Finally, if you plan to stay up late, you can have a snack at 8:00 p.m.  The Best Eating Habits for People with Acid Reflux It’s not just when you eat that matters; your eating habits matter, too. Eating frequently without following healthy habits can lead to disordered eating. Common issues include binge eating, obesity, bloating, and more.[3] Eating too much can also worsen acid reflux because food may flow back into the esophagus, especially if you have severe GERD.  So, even if you’re eating more often than usual, you should reduce your portion sizes. Also, remember to track your daily calorie intake to prevent excessive weight gain. Pay attention to the daily meal plan for people with acid reflux, too.  Food Choices for People with Acid Reflux If you have acid reflux, you need to be careful when choosing what to eat. Some foods are good to eat more often, while others should be avoided. Here’s a list of recommended foods!  Brown rice Vegetable salad Oatmeal Eggs Lean meat Fish Sweet potatoes Potatoes Fruit juice Unsweetened milk tea Some foods you should avoid if you have acid reflux include: Fried foods Soda Spicy foods Drinks with excessive amounts of sugar Alcohol Chocolate Lemons Oranges Instant noodles Pineapple Avoiding these foods can help keep your acid reflux from flaring up as often.  Of course, you should also make sure to pay attention to the best meal times for people with acid reflux and your eating habits. Try to make this schedule and eating pattern part of your routine. That way, you can avoid pain from acid reflux conditions such as gastritis, GERD, and more. Learn the Most Effective Meal Times for Weight Loss

Did you know that eating at the same time every day can help you lose weight faster? This is because your energy intake will remain consistent throughout the day, making it easier for your body to adjust. So, it’s important to know your meal times for dieting.  In addition to helping you lose weight faster, eating at the same time every day can also help your digestive system function at its best. This habit can also prevent the development of type 2 diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular disease.[1] So, make sure to maintain a consistent diet meal schedule for breakfast, lunch, and dinner starting now. Ideally, you can eat three meals and have two snacks, without overdoing your portions. Here’s an example meal schedule! 1. Breakfast In general, the diet meal schedule for teenagers and adults is not much different. First, you should eat breakfast between 6:00 and 8:00 a.m. This helps ensure you have energy reserves and can go about your day as usual. If you need to leave for school, college, or work at 7:00 a.m., try to have breakfast at 6:00 a.m. or later. The best breakfast choices are nutrient-dense foods, which can keep you full until your next meal.[2] There are plenty of breakfast options for dieting, such as: Whole-wheat bread Oatmeal Eggs Spinach Sausage Greek yogurt Fruit It’s best to eat more than one type of food to achieve a better nutritional balance. For example, you could have a combination of boiled eggs, grilled sausage, sautéed spinach, and a slice of apple. 2. First Snack Before lunch, it’s a good idea to have a snack to tide you over. You can plan to do this between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. The goal is to keep you from getting too hungry and overeating at lunch. So, make sure to include snack times in your daily diet schedule.  When choosing a snack, however, make sure you stick to healthy, low-calorie options, such as: Oranges Almonds Apples Low-sugar cookies Bananas Mangoes Tomatoes 3. Lunch When the time reaches 12:00–1:00 p.m., it’s time for your diet lunch. You should eat around this time, even if it’s a small portion, so you have enough energy to get through the afternoon. If you’re wondering about a diet meal schedule and menu, here are some lunch ideas you can try! Egg and avocado sandwich Spinach salad with chicken breast, leafy greens, and nuts Rice with salmon and vegetables Pasta with shrimp and tomatoes 4. Second Snack Between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m., you can have your second snack of the day. This is because you should have a snack at least two to three times a day, even when dieting. Besides curbing hunger, snacks can also help regulate the secretion of hormones that control blood glucose.[3] Just make sure your snacks aren’t too high in sugar, sodium, or saturated fat. Choose healthier options, such as: Soy milk Watermelon Edamame Boiled eggs Low-sugar bread 5. Dinner Dinner is actually important for keeping your blood sugar levels stable while you sleep.[4] So, try not to skip dinner even when you’re dieting. However, avoid going straight to bed after eating. It’s best to eat three hours before bedtime. So, the best time to eat dinner when dieting is between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m. However, if you usually go to bed at 8:00 p.m., it’s a good idea to move dinner up to 5:00 p.m. This gives your food enough time to digest before you go to bed. Another tip is to eat a smaller portion at dinner than at breakfast and lunch. For example, if your minimum daily calorie intake is 1,800 kcal, you could divide it as follows: 500 kcal for breakfast 250 kcal for the first snack 500 kcal for lunch 250 kcal for the second snack 300 kcal for dinner That’s why it’s important to schedule your meals when dieting, so that you get a fresh source of calories every two to three hours. This can keep your energy up throughout the day, helping you stay fit even while dieting. In addition, you should burn more calories than you consume. You can do this by walking, exercising, and taking Jamu Galian Singset. This herbal remedy can help you achieve a slimmer, more toned physique while also keeping you fit throughout the day. So, in addition to following your diet meal schedule, don’t forget to take one sachet of this herbal remedy once or twice a day. Want to Lose Weight Without Exercising? Discover 12 Ways!

Actually, losing weight without exercise can be difficult, but it’s not impossible. This is especially true if you have a busy schedule and don’t have time to exercise regularly. Here are some tips you can follow to slim down quickly, as explained below!  1. Set Meal Times As a busy person, you need to be good at managing your time. This includes setting aside time to eat. In fact, this can be a safe way to lose weight without exercise or dieting, as long as you’re consistent and disciplined. However, it will take a long time.  Although it takes time, your weight loss progress will be more consistent, so you’re less likely to regain the weight. This is because eating at the same time every day can stabilize blood sugar levels and help your stomach digest food more effectively.[1] 2. Cut Calories Basically, excess calories are the main cause of weight gain. This is because those calories are converted into fat. Conversely, when your body is short on calories, fat is converted into fuel to make up for it. That’s why cutting calories is key to losing weight without exercise.  Just make sure you consume at least 1,200 calories a day so your body’s cells can function properly. Otherwise, you’ll feel weak and get sick easily. So, even if you want to know how to lose weight quickly, avoid cutting calories too drastically.  3. Intermittent Fasting Another natural way to lose weight you can try is intermittent fasting. With this method, you fast for 12–16 hours. You can eat during the remaining hours. For example, you can eat only between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., and nothing after that.  4. Cut Carbohydrates It’s common knowledge that carbohydrate sources are among the biggest contributors of calories in food. That’s why you should cut back on them. The easiest way is to choose lower-calorie sources of carbs, such as brown rice, corn, and others.  5. Focus on Protein Protein does contain a lot of calories. However, it can help build muscle mass. So, when you cut back on carbohydrates, you can increase your protein intake.  6. Avoid Saturated Fat You should also reduce your fat intake because fat is high in calories, especially saturated fat. However, that doesn’t mean you need to avoid fat altogether. Instead, choose foods rich in unsaturated fats, such as avocados and almonds.  7. Reduce Your Portions Another way to slim down without exercise is to reduce your portion sizes. For example, if you usually eat 15–20 spoonfuls of rice, reduce that to 5–7 spoonfuls per meal. Just make sure to reduce your portions gradually.  8. Eat More Frequently Although you’re reducing your portions, you can eat more frequently. You should still eat at least three meals a day, with two or three snacks.  So, avoid skipping meals altogether, because you’ll lose not only fat but also muscle mass. In addition, not eating can make you feel weak and cause dry skin, hair loss, and other health problems. In fact, going without food for 14 days can be fatal.[2] 9. Avoid Eating at Night You should also avoid eating at night. This is because your appetite-regulating hormones, leptin and ghrelin, are less stable at night. This affects your desire to eat and can lead to weight gain, especially if it becomes a habit.[3] 10. Don’t Eat Before Bed Related to avoiding late-night eating, you should also avoid eating right before bed. If possible, make sure you eat at least 3 hours beforehand so your body has enough time to digest the food properly.  11. Choose Healthy Snacks Even when you’re dieting, snacking is important. Just make sure to choose healthy, low-calorie snacks, such as vegetables, fruit, and various types of nuts. Avoid foods high in sugar, sodium, and fat.  12. Drink Herbal Weight-Loss Remedies Lastly, you can also drink herbal weight-loss remedies regularly. If you’re wondering what drinks can help you lose weight, Sido Muncul Jamu Galian Singset is one option. You don’t need to worry, as this herbal remedy is made from safe herbal ingredients and has minimal side effects. Although this herbal remedy can help you achieve a slimmer, more toned figure, you’ll still feel fit.  So, this herbal remedy could be a good choice if you’re looking for a way to lose weight without exercise. For best results, you can take one sachet 1–2 times a day. So, stock up now by buying it from your favorite marketplace! Shop Healthy and Save at Sido Muncul Store! Try following these tips and trying some of the remedies below!  1. Drink Ginger Tea If you’re looking for a herbal remedy for a dry cough, warm ginger tea may be the best solution. Ginger contains gingerol and shogaol, two active compounds that can quickly relax the smooth muscles in the airways.[1] Ginger may also help reduce allergens and has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, making it an effective herbal cough remedy.  2. Consume Honey Another way to relieve a dry cough and sore throat is to consume honey. Honey can keep your throat moist, helping reduce the urge to cough. Its soothing effect can also help your airways feel clearer.  In fact, research has shown that consuming 2 teaspoons of honey before bed can reduce nighttime coughing.[2] It may also improve sleep quality.  3. Drink Mint Tea If you’re not fond of ginger tea or honey, mint tea is another option. You can make tea from various types of mint leaves, such as spearmint, peppermint, and orange mint. Simply steep the leaves in hot water for about 8–10 minutes.  After drinking the tea, your throat may feel clearer. This is because it contains menthol, which has anti-inflammatory properties and can help clear the airways.[3] 4. Consume Kencur Rice Drink A traditional Indonesian herbal drink, beras kencur is known for its many benefits. One of these is cough relief. This is because kencur has anti-inflammatory properties and can help soothe an itchy throat.  5. Drink Boiled Fennel Water If you’re wondering what to drink to get over a cough quickly, boiled fennel water may also help. Fennel has anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic properties, which may help soothe a cough more quickly.  6. Drink Kayu Ules Tea Another option to consider for relieving a dry, itchy cough is kayu ules tea. Kayu ules contains antioxidant and antiviral compounds, so this tea may be effective against coughs caused by viruses.  7. Consume Clove Leaf Water Another traditional remedy that may help relieve a cough is boiled clove leaf water. Clove leaves are rich in eugenol, tannins, gallic acid, and flavonoids. These compounds have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, which may help reduce inflammation in the airways.[4] 8. Drink Plenty of Water Another equally effective way to relieve a dry cough at night or during the day is to drink plenty of water, especially warm water. Besides soothing your throat and airways, water can also help keep you hydrated.  Staying hydrated can help speed up recovery, so make sure you meet your daily fluid needs.  9. Use a Humidifier Indoors Another tip to help soothe your cough quickly is to use a humidifier indoors, especially when you’re going to bed. This helps keep your airways moist and may reduce nighttime coughing. It can also help relieve the itching more quickly.  10. Take Cough Medicine Lastly, you can take cough medicine such as dextromethorphan. However, if you don’t tolerate generic medicine or want an alternative with fewer side effects, an herbal remedy may be the right choice. For example, Sido Muncul Tolak Angin Batuk is made from: Fennel fruit Kayu ules Rice Kencur Mint leaves Honey Clove leaves Ginger All of these ingredients are well known as effective herbal cough remedies and may help relieve a sore, itchy throat.  So, if you’re looking for a safe and effective way to relieve a dry cough, Sido Muncul Tolak Angin Batuk is the right choice. Learn About the Types of Coughs, Their Triggers, and How to Treat Them

Did you know that at least one in ten patients who visit a doctor in Indonesia do so with a cough?[1] This means that coughing is a very common health problem in society. Unfortunately, however, not many people know the different types of cough and how they differ.  This information is very important to know, as the different types of cough and how to treat them may vary. Some coughs can even be fatal. This is evident from the many deaths caused by people mistaking a serious cough for an ordinary one and not treating it promptly.  So, learn about the different types of cough and their symptoms below!  1. Dry Cough Have you ever had a cough and an itchy throat, but no mucus came up? If so, you are most likely experiencing a dry cough. This condition is generally accompanied by pain when swallowing food and sometimes difficulty breathing.  Many things can trigger this cough, but the most common causes are allergies and asthma. You can also develop this health problem due to viral or bacterial infections, dust, mold, and dirt. The respiratory tract then clears these irritants by making you cough.  Treatment is quite simple and may include: Drinking more warm water Taking cough medicine Using a vaporizer Sucking on throat lozenges Taking honey Drinking warm ginger tea or warm honey and lime tea 2. Wet Cough Another common type is a wet cough, familiar to many people. Its most noticeable symptom is white to yellowish mucus that comes up when you cough. This mucus means the cough does not feel dry, so your throat is less itchy.  Mucus also plays an important role by trapping dust, allergens, and microorganisms that try to enter the respiratory tract. However, when you are unwell, your body may produce excess mucus, which then drips down the back of your throat and becomes phlegm.[2] This is generally caused by a fever, flu, lung infection, bronchitis, or a similar illness. Broadly speaking, you can treat this cough in the same way as a dry cough.  Also, be sure to clear your phlegm regularly. It can often make your nose feel blocked and make it difficult to breathe.  3. Chronic Cough If you have been coughing for more than 8 weeks, you may have a chronic cough. This long-lasting cough is usually caused by other conditions that you should be aware of, such as asthma, GERD, tuberculosis, and others.  In addition to common cough symptoms such as fever, nasal congestion, and a sore throat, you may also experience other symptoms. These include drastic weight loss, bloody phlegm, shortness of breath, wheezing, hoarseness lasting for weeks, and heavy sweating at night.[3] You can treat it by: Taking medication as directed by your doctor.  Using inhalation therapy.  Avoiding spicy and acidic foods, as well as other foods that trigger GERD.  4. Smoker’s Cough If you smoke and have been smoking for a long time, you are very likely to develop this cough. It is usually persistent, meaning it occurs continuously. This is because your respiratory tract is clearing itself of the toxic substances in cigarettes.  This is certainly a dangerous type of cough, as it can be an early symptom of various lung disorders, including cancer. So, you should address it promptly by: Quitting smoking Staying hydrated Gargling with salt water Getting enough sleep Drinking warm tea with mint and honey 5. Whooping Cough If you are wondering which type of cough is contagious, whooping cough is the answer. It is caused by infection with the bacterium Bordetella pertussis, which attaches to the cilia in the upper respiratory tract. This infection can cause your airways to swell.[4] In infants and children, this cough can be fatal, especially if they have not been vaccinated. This is because the condition can weaken the immune system. You can help prevent and treat it by: Getting the DTaP vaccine for children aged 0–6 Getting the Tdap vaccine for those aged 11 and over Taking antibiotics Maintaining good hygiene to prevent transmission Always wearing a mask when coughing In addition to the steps above, you can also start taking Sido Muncul Tolak Angin Batuk regularly to help you recover faster. This herbal medicine is made from ingredients that can soothe a cough, such as honey, mint leaves, ginger, fennel fruit, aromatic ginger, kayu ules, rice, and clove leaves.  This herbal medicine can help with recovery from all types of cough, especially wet and dry coughs. Is Your Child’s Immune System Weak? Discover 10 Ways to Boost It!

As a parent, of course you’ll worry if your little one gets sick easily or comes down with an illness. So it’s perfectly understandable if you want to know how to boost your child’s immune system. After all, almost any illness can occur when the immune system is weak. Looking at the possible triggers, there are many reasons why a child’s immune system may be weak. Sometimes, your child gets sick easily because they aren’t getting enough nutrients or fluids. But the immune system can also be compromised by lack of sleep, stress, and similar factors.  So, how to boost your child’s immune system is pretty straightforward. Here’s what you can do! 1. Maintain a Healthy Eating Routine The first thing to focus on to strengthen your little one’s immune system is maintaining a healthy eating routine. This is because many children, especially toddlers, are picky eaters. Yet eating is essential to ensure they get the nutrients their bodies need.  To address picky eating, you can plan your child’s meals more thoughtfully. Try setting regular meal and snack times, then stick to them. Ideally, offer your child food and drinks every 2–3 hours, or around 5–6 times a day.[1] 2. Offer Nutrient-Rich Foods and Drinks Next, another way to help your child’s immune system stay strong and prevent them from getting sick easily is to offer nutrient-rich foods and drinks. At every meal, make sure they get carbohydrates, protein, healthy fats, vitamins, minerals, fiber, and other nutrients. So, don’t focus on just one nutrient. For example, your little one can get carbohydrates from rice, protein and healthy fats from meat, and vitamins, minerals, and fiber from vegetables. If you’re wondering which vitamins can help strengthen your child’s immune system, focus on vitamins C and D.  3. Offer Healthy Snacks In addition to regular meals, your child also needs healthy snacks. There are plenty of foods that can boost your child’s immune system and make great snacks, such as: Yogurt Oranges Almonds Apples Mangoes Papayas 4. Make Sure They Drink Enough Water Next, don’t forget to make sure your child drinks enough water. Water plays an important role in carrying oxygen to every cell in the body, including immune cells.[2]Without enough water, immune cells won’t be able to function at their best.  5. Encourage Your Child to Exercise Next, don’t forget to encourage your child to exercise. When the body is active, muscle contractions and movement release proteins called cytokines. These proteins can help direct immune cells to find and fight infections.  6. Teach Your Child Good Hygiene Habits Another reason children get sick easily is poor hygiene. So, teach your child to bathe every day, especially after spending a long time outdoors. Also, introduce them to the habits of washing their hands before eating and brushing their teeth before bed from an early age.  7. Improve Sleep Quality Another way to boost your baby’s and child’s immune systems is to improve their sleep quality. This is because when your child sleeps, especially at night, immune system components increase. For example, the body produces more cytokines, which can reduce inflammation.[3] 8. Avoid Stress A child’s mental health can also affect their physical health. So, try to keep stress to a minimum. Make time to talk openly with your little one. Make sure they can express their emotions in a healthy way so their mental well-being stays balanced and stable.  9. Keep Your Child Away from Cigarette Smoke If you or your partner smoke, avoid doing so around your little one. Even after you’ve finished smoking, try to change your clothes so no smoke residue gets on them before you go near your child.  Cigarette smoke contains many toxic substances that are harmful to your child’s health.  10. Take Herbal Remedies That Can Boost Immunity Lastly, you can give your child a herbal remedy that supports their health, such as Tolak Angin Anak. This remedy contains a variety of herbal ingredients that can boost immunity, including honey, fennel fruit, mint leaves, ules wood, ginger, and clove leaves.  In addition to being a way to boost your child’s immune system, this herbal remedy can also help with various other health concerns. These include relieving symptoms of wind-related discomfort, chills, stomach cramps, bloating, dizziness, and more. What’s more, Tolak Angin Anak is safe for your little one. Want to Gain Weight? Discover 13 High-Calorie Foods!

Basically, calories are the most important key to gaining weight faster. You will need an average surplus of at least 2,272 kcal to gain 1 kg of body weight.[1] So, make sure you know which high-calorie foods can help you gain weight.  As a tip, avoid snacks with too much sodium, sugar, and saturated fat to keep your body healthy. Instead, choose nutrient-rich snacks containing protein, carbohydrates, unsaturated fats, vitamins, minerals, and fiber. There are plenty of options, including the following!  1. Peanut Butter If you're wondering what to eat to gain weight quickly, peanut butter is worth considering. Compared with other snack foods, peanut butter has the highest calorie content, providing 588 kcal per 100 grams. That's about 94 kcal per tablespoon. Interestingly, most of these calories come from monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, while it contains relatively little saturated fat. It also contains no cholesterol, making it a heart-healthy choice.[2] 2. Beef If you're looking for high-calorie, high-protein foods, beef is the answer. It contains about 250.5 kcal per 100 grams, far more than other red meats, such as goat meat, which contains just 143.2 kcal per 100 grams. It also provides 26 grams of protein per 100 grams.  3. Chicken Another source of protein you can eat is chicken. This poultry meat contains 239 kcal per 100 grams, making it a suitable, more affordable alternative to beef.  4. Salmon Another high-calorie food for helping children and adults gain weight is salmon. Compared with other types of fish, salmon has the highest calorie content, at 208.2 kcal per 100 grams. Other types of fish contain an average of just 1xx kcal.  5. Eggs If you're looking for a more affordable alternative, eggs are your best option. Every 100 grams of eggs provides 155.1 kcal. So, if you're wondering how many eggs to eat to gain weight, you should eat at least 3–4 large eggs a day.  6. Tempeh If you're a vegetarian or vegan who doesn't eat meat or fish, plant-based protein can be a good option. Tempeh, for example, contains 192.9 kcal per 100 grams.  7. Avocado What about fruits that are high in calories? Avocados turn out to be an excellent option. One avocado weighing 200 grams can provide an additional 322 kcal, especially if you're looking for a snack rich in healthy fats.  Avocados contain about 29 grams of fat, mostly polyunsaturated (3.7 grams) and monounsaturated (20 grams) fats.[3] 8. Dates Another fruit-based option for a high-calorie snack is dates. They provide about 281.5 kcal per 100 grams, equivalent to roughly 13 dates.  9. Pomegranate You can also snack on pomegranates more often. A medium pomegranate weighing about 282 grams contains around 234 kcal.  10. White Rice It wouldn't be complete to increase your calorie intake without adding carbohydrates when trying to gain weight. So, you can eat white rice more often; it contains about 130 kcal per 100 grams.  11. Wheat If you're looking for a higher-calorie carbohydrate source than rice, wheat is a good alternative. Every 100 grams of wheat provides about 338.9 kcal.  12. Macadamia Nuts Macadamia nuts are famous not only for being the world's most expensive nuts, but also for their relatively high calorie content. Every 100 grams provides about 204 kcal, while other types of nuts usually contain only 155 kcal.  13. Chocolate Finally, you can also enjoy chocolate as an occasional snack. Every 100 grams provides 545.6 kcal. However, avoid eating it too often because it contains a lot of saturated fat.  In addition to eating the snacks above, you also need to improve your appetite to gain weight faster. One way is to regularly take Sido Muncul Jamu Gemuk Sehat. This herbal tonic is made from temulawak, nutgrass, Javanese long pepper, papaya leaves, and lempuyang, and can help increase your appetite.  So, in addition to eating high-calorie foods to gain weight, you should also take one sachet of this herbal tonic 1–2 times a day before meals. 12 Safe Natural Remedies for Joint Pain with Minimal Side Effects

Did you know that around 70% of people over the age of 50 experience joint pain at least once?[1] In fact, this problem often affects people who are still of working age, too. That’s why you should know about natural remedies for joint pain that can help relieve the discomfort as soon as possible.  This is because recurring, prolonged pain can seriously interfere with your daily activities. You may feel unwell, find it difficult to concentrate, and experience various other problems. So, learn about the different herbal remedies for muscle and joint pain listed below!  1. Green Tea If you’re wondering what leaves can help treat arthritis, green tea may be a good choice. That’s because tea leaves contain an active compound called epigallocatechin 3-gallate, which can alter chemicals in the joints.[2] As a result, damaged joints may heal faster.  2. Cherries If you prefer fruit, cherries are worth considering. This is mainly because they are rich in anti-inflammatory compounds, which can quickly help reduce inflammation around the joints and bones.  3. Turmeric Another remedy for joint and bone pain worth trying is turmeric. This herbal rhizome contains curcumin, which is rich in anti-inflammatory compounds. It’s easy to consume: simply steep turmeric extract in hot, freshly boiled water or take it in pill form.  4. Milk Also, remember to drink milk more regularly. It contains plenty of calcium, which is good for bone and joint development. So, if a joint is damaged, milk can help it heal faster.  5. Fish Oil It turns out that eating fish and taking fish oil may also help relieve joint pain. That’s because fish oil contains Omega-3, which can boost the immune system. As a result, more immune cells can fight inflammation and help ease the pain.  6. Walnuts Another source of Omega-3 you can try is walnuts, especially if you’re allergic to fish or follow a vegan or vegetarian lifestyle. They also contain other anti-inflammatory compounds that can be just as effective in helping you recover quickly from persistent joint pain.  7. Aromatic Ginger (Kencur) If you’re looking for a traditional remedy for knee joint pain, kencur may also be a good choice. Kencur contains two active compounds with anti-inflammatory effects: trans-ethyl cinnamate and ethyl-trans-p-methoxycinnamate.[3] Both can help address various joint problems, including inflammation.  You can consume it in various ways, such as mixing it with rice. Kencur rice drink is not only healthy but also delicious.  8. Eggs As mentioned earlier, Omega-3 can have a positive effect on joint pain. You can also get this nutrient from eggs. So, if you’re looking for an easier and more affordable source of Omega-3, eggs may be a good choice.  9. Ginseng Ginseng is another traditional remedy for knee pain. It may also reduce inflammation in joints beyond the knees. This is because ginseng contains ginsenosides, which regulate neuropathic pain and may therefore help reduce joint pain.[4] 10. Aromatic Ginger Another herbal remedy for joint pain is aromatic ginger. In fact, research has found that ginger can relieve pain better than a placebo. You can take 250 mg of ginger three or four times a day to help relieve pain and improve joint health.[5] 11. Key Lime You can also consume key limes regularly to help relieve joint pain more quickly. That’s because key limes are rich in vitamin C and flavonoids, two of the many powerful anti-inflammatory agents.  There are many ways to consume them: you can mix key lime juice with water, tea, or another drink.  12. Honey Lastly, remember to consume honey regularly. Honey contains many anti-inflammatory and antioxidant compounds, which may help speed up pain relief. Aches and Pains All Over? Try These 15 Remedies!

Experiencing pain, aches, soreness, or stiffness throughout your body can be very disruptive. This is because it can make it difficult to concentrate and stay focused. So it’s only natural to want to know how to relieve all-over body aches so the discomfort goes away quickly.  However, before learning how to address this problem, you first need to understand the causes of all-over body aches. There are many possible triggers, ranging from chronic fatigue and muscle injuries or trauma to certain conditions such as autoimmune diseases. There are also many ways to relieve them, such as: 1. Soak in Warm Water The first thing you can try is soaking in warm water. The reason is simple: warm water can help relax your muscles. Your body may feel sore because your muscles are too tense, so relaxation is just what you need. 2. Get a Massage Another way to relax is to get a massage. Besides helping your muscles relax, a proper massage can also improve circulation and release endorphins.[1] So, within just a few hours—or even minutes—your body may feel lighter and more refreshed after a massage. 3. Avoid Strenuous Physical Activity for the First 1–2 Days Next, another way to relieve body aches is to avoid strenuous physical activity, especially during the first 1–2 days after symptoms begin. The pain may be a sign that your body is overly tired and needs to rest.  4. Get More Sleep While you recover, you need to get more sleep. That’s because the amount of NADA, or N-arachidonoyl dopamine, in your body decreases when you don’t get enough sleep. Yet it plays an important role in helping regulate how your body perceives pain.[2] This explains why your whole body aches even when you haven’t been working: you may not be getting enough sleep, or your sleep may be poor quality.  5. Drink More Water You need to increase not only how much you sleep but also how much you drink, especially mineral water. It can help repair muscle cells damaged by injury, fatigue, and other causes.  6. Stretch In addition to doing too much, another reason your whole body feels sore and weak may be a lack of movement. So remember to stretch regularly, especially if you’ve been sitting, standing, or even lying down all day for one reason or another.  Stretching can not only help prevent aches throughout your body, but also relieve them.  7. Do Yoga If stretching alone isn’t enough, you can try yoga. There are many poses you can try, such as the bridge pose, cow face pose, balasana, sleeping pigeon pose, and many others.  8. Cryotherapy If your body hurts when touched, you may have injured a muscle, joint, or bone. If so, try cryotherapy, or ice therapy. Wrap ice in a towel or cloth, then place it on the sore area.  9. Take Pain Relievers You can also try taking over-the-counter medicine for all-over body aches. There are many options, including paracetamol, ibuprofen, aspirin, and diclofenac.[3] 10. Drink Ginger Tea If generic medicines aren’t right for you, there are traditional remedies you can try. One example is ginger tea. Ginger contains salicylates, which are converted in your body into a substance called salicylic acid.  Salicylic acid prevents your nerve cells from producing certain prostaglandins, which can reduce pain and discomfort in your muscles, bones, and joints.[4] 11. Take Ginseng Besides ginger, another herbal remedy that may help relieve aches throughout the body is ginseng. You can consume it as a ginseng decoction, mixed into tea, or in pills containing ginseng extract.  12. Eat More Protein Also, remember to increase your protein intake. Protein can help speed up muscle repair. There are many options, including eggs, meat, and other sources of protein.  13. Drink a Lime and Honey Mixture A mixture of lime and honey may also help relieve aches throughout the body. For a better taste, you can mix it with warm tea or another drink.  14. Drink Beras Kencur Another equally tasty option is beras kencur, a traditional herbal drink long trusted by people—especially in Indonesia—to relieve aches and soreness.  15. Take Sido Muncul Jamu Komplit Pegal Linu Telor Lastly, you can take Sido Muncul Jamu Komplit Pegal Linu Telor to relieve muscle pain and aches throughout the body. It contains: Jamu Pegal Linu Telor herbal remedy Fragrant ginger Beras kencur Ginseng pills Lime honey So it’s no surprise that Sido Muncul Jamu Komplit Pegal Linu Telor can be an effective way to relieve all-over body aches. Choose Foods Rich in Calories Since calories are key, you should make an effort to choose foods that are high in calories. There are plenty of options, especially foods rich in fat, carbohydrates, and protein.  3. Avoid Saturated Fats and Choose Unsaturated Fats Although eating fat is a way to gain weight quickly, you still need to maintain a healthy diet. So, avoid foods containing saturated fat, such as fried foods, cheese, and similar items.  Instead, choose sources of unsaturated fats, as they are healthier for your body. There are plenty of foods to choose from, such as almonds, avocados, and more. Although these foods are high in fat, they won’t cause high cholesterol or cardiovascular disease.[3] 4. Increase Your Protein Intake In addition to increasing body fat, you also need to build muscle mass. That’s why you need plenty of protein, which is the nutrient responsible for building muscle mass in the body.  The best protein sources for gaining weight are animal proteins, such as red meat and fish. However, if you’re vegan or vegetarian, plant-based proteins can also help, including tempeh, tofu, and more.  5. Choose Complex Carbohydrates If you’re wondering what to eat to gain weight quickly, you can increase your intake of complex carbohydrates. If you like rice, choose white rice, as it has more calories than other types of rice. Other options include potatoes and whole grains.  6. Avoid Junk Food If you’re looking for a way to gain 5 kg in a week or even more, eating junk food can certainly help. However, you should avoid it if you want to stay healthy.  That’s because junk food contains excessive amounts of salt, sugar, and saturated fat.[4] So, avoid junk food to protect yourself from high cholesterol, diabetes, and other health problems.  7. Pay Attention to Your Milk Intake Drinking weight gain milk is also important if you want to put on weight quickly. Look for milk that is high in protein, whether it comes from cows or goats. However, if you’re vegan or vegetarian, almond milk can also be beneficial for gaining weight.  8. Don’t Increase Portion Sizes—Eat More Often Instead Another tip for gaining weight in a healthy way is to avoid increasing your meal portions. Eating excessively large portions could upset your digestive system. So, don’t increase how much you eat at each meal—eat more often instead.  If you usually eat 2–3 times a day, try starting to eat 4–5 times a day.  9. Don’t Forget Snacks Another key to gaining weight quickly is to eat snacks regularly, especially between meals. However, be sure to choose healthy snacks that won’t harm your health.  10. Having Trouble Gaining Weight? Discover 10 Safe Ways to Gain Weight!

Basically, gaining weight can be difficult for some people. However, you shouldn’t give up. There are many ways to gain weight that you can start trying today. The key is to choose safe, healthy, and natural methods so your body isn’t “shocked” by the new fat and muscle.  If you’re wondering how much weight it’s healthy to gain, the maximum is just ½–1 kg.[1] However, to be safer, you can do it gradually, gaining only around 1–2 kg per month. The process is quite simple—just follow these steps!  1. Eat Smaller Portions More Often Most people think you need to eat large portions if you want to gain weight quickly. However, an effective way to gain 1 kg in a week doesn’t work like that. Instead, you can eat smaller or regular portions, but more frequently.  This can reduce the risk of digestive problems. It can also help train your body to keep accepting food even when you’re not very hungry.  2. Choose High-Calorie Foods Next, another natural way to gain weight is to choose high-calorie foods. That way, you can take in more calories than you burn. This is the key to gaining weight faster. As a tip, choose foods rich in protein, fat, and carbohydrates. These three types of foods are high in calories.  3. Pay Attention to When You Drink It’s common knowledge that drinking water is important for keeping your body hydrated. Of course, you should do that too. However, pay attention to when you drink. Avoid drinking right before a meal, especially in large amounts. Whether you realize it or not, drinking too much can make you feel full quickly. This is because when you drink, your stomach signals to your brain that it’s time to stop eating.[2] 4. Drink More Nutrient-Dense Beverages If you want to know how to gain weight quickly, you can also have more meal-replacement drinks. One example is smoothies, which are usually made with frozen fruit.  Not only are these drinks delicious and an effective way to add calories, they’re also healthy. Almost all fruits are rich in vitamins, minerals, and fiber, which are good for digestive health. 5. Get Extra Nutrients from Milk Sticking with beverages, weight-gain milk is another option. That’s because it can provide you with more calories. As a tip, look for milk that’s rich in carbohydrates and protein. However, limit milk that’s high in fat, especially saturated fat.  6. Avoid Unhealthy Snacks If you’re wondering what to eat to gain weight quickly, you can snack more often. That’s because snacks can provide extra energy and calories.[3] However, be sure to choose healthy, nutrient-rich snacks.  Cut back on snacks containing sodium, salt, sugar, and saturated fat. Instead, choose healthier options such as nuts, yogurt, fresh vegetables, fruit, and more.  7. Increase Your Protein Intake Next, don’t forget to increase your protein intake. Protein helps build muscle mass. So, you’ll gain not only fat but also muscle. This is especially important if you want to maintain your ideal weight in the future.  8. Do More Resistance Training In addition to paying attention to your diet, you should also exercise. However, you need to focus more on building muscle mass rather than burning fat. The easiest exercises for building muscle mass are resistance training exercises such as push-ups, sit-ups, squats, and weightlifting.  9. Don’t Get Too Stressed Another factor that’s just as important and deserves your attention is mental health. It can be difficult to maintain a healthy lifestyle if your mental health is unstable. So, you need to learn how to avoid excessive stress and other mental health problems.  10. Take Herbal Remedies to Boost Your Appetite Lastly, you should also pay attention to your appetite. If you don’t have an appetite, you won’t feel like eating more. The easiest way to stimulate your appetite is to regularly take herbal remedies such as Sido Muncul Jamu Gemuk Sehat.  This herbal remedy is made from herbal ingredients, so it’s safe to take without causing side effects or dependence. Does Your Child Have a Weak Immune System? Learn 10 Possible Causes!

A child who gets sick often is a serious problem that needs to be addressed promptly. The first step you should take is to find out what causes a child’s immune system to be weak. Once you understand the causes, you can learn how to prevent and address the problem. In addition to getting sick often, other signs of a weak immune system are also important to look out for. These include wounds that are slow to heal, skin problems, and becoming lethargic or tired too easily. So, learn about some of the factors that can weaken your child’s immune system in the explanation below! 1. Poor Sleep Quality and Insufficient Sleep Sleep is essential for everyone, including children. This is because while your little one sleeps, immune cells in their body release substances called cytokines.[1] Cytokines help signal certain immature cells to develop into specific types of cells. Cytokines usually transform immature cells into white blood cells, which can fight infection and strengthen the immune system. That is why the risk of cognitive, metabolic, and inflammatory disorders in children increases when they do not get enough quality sleep. 2. Dehydration If you’re wondering what causes the immune system to become weak, dehydration is one possible cause. It occurs when the body lacks fluids, even though they are essential for strengthening your little one’s immune cells. So, make sure your child drinks enough mineral water regularly every day. 3. Not Getting Any Exercise If you want to know at what age a child’s immune system becomes strong, your little one’s immune system starts to improve at age three and beyond. However, you still need to build their immune strength by making sure they exercise regularly. If children never exercise, their immunity can weaken. This is because a high level of physical activity in young children has a positive effect on the immune system. It does this by changing immune activity induced in the body into autoantigens.[2] 4. Not Getting Vaccinated In general, vaccination or immunization is the most effective treatment for a weak immune system. So, remember to have your child immunized at the recommended times. For example, the DPT vaccine at 2, 3, and 4 months of age, the measles vaccine at 9 months, and various other vaccines. 5. Poor Hygiene It’s common knowledge that healthy children are always active. However, don’t forget to make sure they maintain good hygiene. Make sure your little one always washes their hands before eating, brushes their teeth before bed, and bathes regularly, especially after playing outside. After all, almost all types of infections can result from poor hygiene. 6. Vitamin Deficiency Another reason your little one may get sick easily is not getting enough vitamins. There are many vitamins that help strengthen a child’s immune system, such as vitamins C and D. So, increase their intake of vegetables and fruits rich in vitamins to make sure they get enough each day. 7. Eating Infrequently It turns out that eating infrequently can also weaken your little one’s immune system. So, make sure you give your child food or drink every 2–3 hours. Ideally, provide three main meals and 2–3 snacks to ensure your child gets all the nutrients they need.[3] 8. Stress Did you know that young children can get stressed too? This can certainly have a negative effect on your little one’s immune system because their body will release too much of the hormone cortisol. Cortisol can make the body more prone to inflammation, making it easier to develop infections.[4] 9. Taking Too Many Unnecessary Antibiotics Another reason your child may get sick easily is taking too many antibiotics unnecessarily. Antibiotics can help reduce inflammation in the body. However, taking them excessively or when they are not needed can be harmful. Antibiotics kill not only harmful bacteria, but also some beneficial bacteria. Yet your child needs these beneficial bacteria to strengthen their immunity. 10. Having an Autoimmune Disease If you have ruled out all the factors above, your child may have an autoimmune disease. If so, see a doctor as soon as possible for further care. So, how can you strengthen a child’s weak immune system? There are many things you can do, including taking Tolak Angin Anak. This herbal remedy is made from a variety of ingredients that can help maintain good health and is safe for children. Now that you know what causes a child’s immune system to be weak, remember to take Tolak Angin Anak to help maintain a healthy immune system. 10 Causes of Persistent Cough and an Itchy Throat—and How to Relieve Them

It is common knowledge that coughs are among the most common ailments affecting people. The prevalence rate is 15% among children and 20% among adults.[1] Sometimes, problems such as a persistent cough and an itchy throat can even interfere with your daily activities.  That’s why you should know why your throat feels itchy and you keep coughing. This will make it easier to understand how to manage the problem. Here’s a more detailed explanation!  1. Dust Irritating the Throat In fact, the reasons for an itchy throat and cough at night are not very different from those during the day. This problem is generally caused by dust and dirt entering the respiratory tract, whether from air pollution or from a dirty, dusty room.  When this happens, your throat goes into defense mode and tries to expel the dust by making you cough. The itching itself can be caused by inflammation resulting from the infection.  2. The Flu Next, another cause of an itchy throat and cough is having the flu, which is triggered by the Influenza virus. The cough generally lasts 1–4 days and, at most, one week.[2] You will usually also have a fever and a runny nose when infected with this virus.  3. Covid-19 If you’re wondering whether a persistent cough and itchy throat are symptoms of Covid-19, the answer may be yes. When infected with this virus, your respiratory tract also goes into defense mode. You may also experience other symptoms, such as muscle and joint pain.  4. Exposure to Cigarette Smoke Whether you realize it or not, cigarette smoke can cause various problems in your body, particularly in your respiratory tract. This is because toxic substances can build up in your throat when you inhale cigarette smoke.  At first, tiny hair-like structures called cilia filter out these toxins. Over time, however, the cilia begin to lose their ability to filter them. As a result, you may cough persistently as your respiratory tract tries to expel these substances.[3] 5. Bronchitis Another reason this problem occurs is bronchitis. This happens when the trachea and bronchi become irritated and inflamed, causing them to swell and fill with mucus.[4] That is why coughing is the first and main symptom of bronchitis.  6. Lung Cancer You may also experience this problem when cancer develops in the respiratory tract, particularly in the lungs. Cancer cells begin to fill the airways and trigger coughing. This happens because the respiratory tract recognizes the cells as foreign substances that are causing irritation.  Generally, an itchy throat and dry cough are early symptoms of lung cancer. However, the cough may persist for several weeks and eventually be accompanied by blood.  7. Allergies Some people also experience this problem when they have certain allergies. There are many types of allergies you might have. Some people are allergic to flower pollen, cat fur, and various other substances. Usually, however, this cough goes away when you avoid the allergen.  8. Pneumonia If your cough is accompanied by phlegm and pus, you may have pneumonia. You will generally also experience other symptoms, such as fever, difficulty breathing, and chills. Your throat may also feel itchy.  9. Asthma However, if your cough is dry, you may have asthma, especially if you hear a wheezing sound when you breathe. This is caused by narrowed airways, which make it difficult to breathe and can also cause tightness in your chest.  10. Sinus Infection Finally, you may also have a sinus infection, especially if you have a runny nose. This infection can also affect other parts of your respiratory tract, causing your throat to become itchy. If that happens, you may start coughing nonstop.  However, there’s no need to worry, as almost all types of cough can be treated. In fact, if you try to treat it, the problem may go away in just a few days. The solution is quite simple: take Sido Muncul Tolak Angin Batuk, one sachet three times a day.  This cough medicine for an itchy throat is made from herbal ingredients that can help relieve coughs and soothe the throat, including: Fennel fruit Ginger Kayu ules Sand ginger  Rice Mint leaves Honey Clove leaves So, if you start experiencing a persistent cough and itchy throat, you can take Sido Muncul Tolak Angin Batuk right away. Find Out Why Children Refuse to Eat Rice and How to Address It

When caring for and raising your little one, you’re bound to face many challenges. One of them is your child refusing to eat rice. Rice is a good source of nutrients for your little one’s growth and development, as it contains carbohydrates, protein, potassium, and more.  As a parent, this may leave you wondering whether it’s dangerous if your child refuses to eat rice. It turns out this isn’t a problem if you offer other alternatives, such as potatoes, corn, and various other carbohydrate sources as staple foods. However, you probably want to know why your child refuses to eat rice and how to address it. Here’s a complete explanation!  Reasons Why Children Refuse to Eat Rice There are several reasons why your little one may refuse to eat rice: 1. Feeling Too Full If your child refuses to eat rice but snacks, or even your child refuses to eat rice and only consumes formula, they may simply be too full. Children can generally have snacks 2–3 times a day and still eat three meals a day.[1] If your little one snacks more often than that, they may feel too full. As a result, their appetite may decrease—not just for rice, but for other main meals as well.  2. Boredom Another reason is boredom, especially if you give your little one the same foods every day. This can lead to “food boredom”, or getting tired of certain foods. That’s why they may look for new alternatives, such as snacks.  3. Digestive Problems For some people, especially those with digestive issues, rice can be difficult to digest. This is because rice can remove mucus from the stomach and duodenum. Its sticky starch binds to the mucus, which is also sticky.  As a result, the stomach’s defenses against acid and pepsin are weakened.[2] This can cause stomach discomfort and gastritis symptoms when your little one eats rice, making them dislike it.  4. Illness When your little one is sick, their appetite will naturally decrease. This is a biological response that occurs when the body becomes inflamed to fight an illness. As a result, the process of breaking down proteins in the body may not work properly.  In response, the body may avoid food intake so that detoxification can happen more quickly. This is why your little one may lose their appetite when they’re sick.[3] How to Help a Child Who Refuses to Eat Rice Now that you know the reasons, it’s time to learn how to get your child to eat rice. These simple tips are easy to put into practice in your daily life: 1. Set a Schedule for Meals and Snacks The first thing you should do is set a schedule for meals and snacks. A good schedule for children is three meals and three snacks a day. Make sure to offer your little one food only at the scheduled times.  This will help their body learn when to feel hungry and when to feel full. The key is to be disciplined and consistent. Don’t give your little one snacks outside of snack time, as this could leave them full when mealtime comes around.  2. Try Different Foods There are many ingredients you can cook with, so you can experiment instead of making the same dishes over and over. This is especially helpful if your little one is experiencing food boredom. Try introducing a variety of new foods they haven’t tried before to help bring back their appetite.  However, if your little one is allergic or hypersensitive to rice, you can replace their staple food with something else. There are plenty of alternatives if your child refuses to eat rice, such as whole-wheat bread, potatoes, corn, and more.  3. Give Them an Herbal Appetite Booster Lastly, you can also give your little one an herbal appetite booster, such as Jamu Anak Sehat Chocolate from Sidomuncul. This herbal remedy is made with ingredients that may help restore your child’s appetite. These herbal ingredients include: Carrot Ginger Red ginger Temulawak Black temulawak Honey Licorice root Besides being beneficial, it also tastes good, making it easy for your little one to take. They can consume it directly or mix it with 100 cc of warm water, or about ½ a glass. Be sure to read the directions on the package to get the best results.  Those are the causes of and solutions for children refusing to eat rice. At the very least, you need to know how to gain 5 kg in a week.  According to the latest WHO data in 2022, around 8.7% of Indonesians have a weight below a normal body mass index (BMI).[1] If you are one of them, find out immediately how to gain 5 kg in a week for women and men safely and healthily. Here is how!  1. Always Calculate Calorie Intake The first step you must take is to calculate your daily calorie intake. Try to always consume more calories than you burn. This is because if there is a surplus, your body will store it as fat and make you gain weight.  As a guide, men will need an average of 2,500 kcal and women will need 2,000 kcal per day.[2] So, try to consume more calories than you need.  2. Focus on Protein All types of nutrients are important for the body. However, if you want faster progress, focus on consuming more protein. This is because protein is the substance responsible for building muscle. So, not only will you gain fat, but also muscle mass.  3. Choose Healthy Fat Intake If you want to know what to eat to gain weight quickly besides protein, the answer is fat. However, make sure that the fat you consume is unsaturated fat. This is because saturated fat can increase the risk of cholesterol and heart disease.[3] There are plenty of options, such as avocados, nuts, avocados, and so on.  4. Increase Meal Frequency For health reasons, especially for the digestive system, you should avoid eating large portions at once. Therefore, it is not the portion size that you need to increase excessively, but the frequency of your meals. If you usually only eat twice a day, change it to 4-5 times a day.  5. Snack More Often Not only main meals, but you must also snack regularly to gain weight quickly. This includes a natural way to gain 5 kg in a week that you can apply in your daily life.  There are many snack options, such as chocolate, granola, avocado, boiled eggs, and other similar snacks.  6. Switch Your Milk Another option is to replace milk with weight-gain milk. This is because its formula is specially designed to help your body gain muscle mass and fat more quickly.  7. Focus on Building Muscle Mass During Exercise It turns out that exercise can not only be done to lose weight, but also to gain it. This includes a natural way to gain weight that you must apply in your daily life.  However, the method will be slightly different. This is because if you want to gain weight, you can focus on building muscle mass during exercise.  8. Resistance Training Then, you can also do resistance training more often because it will make your muscles work against resistance.[4] This makes it build new muscle mass faster. There are many options, including simple exercises such as sit-ups, push-ups, squats, weightlifting, and more.  9. Choose Complex Carbohydrates In addition, choose complex carbohydrates because they contain more calories. Some examples are potatoes, wheat, sweet potatoes, and more.  10. Avoid Stress Stress and other mental illnesses are also causes of why you have difficulty gaining weight. Therefore, try to always think positively to avoid stress and other negative feelings.  11. Yoga Then, don't forget to do yoga more often. Actually, yoga cannot directly increase your weight. However, this method makes your digestive system healthier and able to digest food better. Yoga can also make you calmer, more positive, and stress-free.  12. Consume Weight-Gain Jamu Finally, you can consume weight-gain jamu such as Sido Muncul Jamu Gemuk Sehat. Want to Achieve Your Ideal Weight? Learn How to Calculate It!

Being too thin or too overweight is not good. Besides beauty standards, your metabolism will also be disrupted. This is because when your body is in such a condition, pathogens can more easily enter your body. So, you must know how to calculate your ideal weight.  Everyone surely has different ideals regarding this. It will depend on several factors, such as gender, age, and height. To help you understand better, below is an explanation of how to calculate the ideal weight formula for women, men, children, and babies!  Weight Calculation Formula The easiest formula for you to use to find out whether your weight is ideal is to calculate your BMI as follows!  1. Women Basically, the average BMI of Indonesian women aged 17-25 is 25.2. This means it is only slightly above the normal BMI, which is below 25. This is because, according to statistics, the average height of Indonesian women in this age range is 1.54 m with an average weight of 59.8 kg. Of course, a woman's ideal weight can be easily calculated using the following formula: [Weight (kg) : Height (m) x Height (m)] For example, if you are 1.5 meters tall and weigh 50 kg. Then, your BMI is: [50 : 1.5 x 1.5] = [50 : 2.25] = 22.22 For your information, 22.22 is a normal BMI. This is because the number is between 18.5 and 25, which is the normal range. If it is less than 18.5, you will need to gain weight. However, if it is more than 25, you will need to lose weight.  2. Men Just like women, the average BMI of Indonesian men is also only slightly higher than the normal figure, which is 25.4. This is because the average height of Indonesian men is 1.73 m with an average weight of 76.2 kg.[1] As a note, that is the average BMI for men aged 17-25.  In general, you can calculate a man's ideal weight in the same way as a woman's BMI, namely: [Weight (kg) : Height (m) x Height (m)]  For example, if you are 1.7 meters tall and weigh 70 kg. Then, your BMI is: [70 : 1.7 x 1.7] = [70 : 2.89] = 24.2 So, your weight is still normal and ideal because it is in the range of 18.5-25. 3. Children Unlike adults, children have different average weights for each age group. For example, a 2-year-old child has an average height of 85.5 cm and an average weight of 12.02 kg. Meanwhile, a 12-year-old child has an average height of 149.8 cm and a weight of 41.5 kg.[2] Of course, the way to calculate the ideal weight for women and men by age uses the same formula as the general BMI, namely: [Weight (kg) : Height (m) x Height (m)]  For example, if your child is 1.2 meters tall and weighs 40 kg. Then, your child's BMI is: [40 : 1.2 x 1.2] = [40 : 1.44]  = 27.7 So, your child is overweight.  4. Babies Unlike the other formulas, calculating a baby's ideal weight uses a different formula. If your baby is between 1-6 months old, you can use the following formula: [Birth weight (grams) + age (months) x 600 (grams)]  However, if your baby is between 7-12 months old, you can use the following formula: [Birth weight (grams) + age (months) x 500 (grams)]  For example, if you have a 5-month-old baby who weighed 3.2 kg at birth. Then, ideally, the baby should weigh: [3200 + 5 x 500] = [3200 + 2500] = [5700] So, ideally, your baby's weight at 5 months should be 5,700 grams or 5.7 kg.  Tips for Maintaining an Ideal Weight After understanding the easy formula to calculate it, you also need to know several tips to keep your weight within the normal BMI range. The methods are relatively easy for you to do, namely by following these tips!  Pay attention to meal times, and if possible, try to always eat at the same time. Make sure to meet your daily calorie needs with the right portion sizes. Don't forget to exercise to burn off excess calories. Always meet your daily fluid needs. Eat more foods rich in fiber, vitamins, and minerals.  Get enough sleep. Avoid stress and other mental health issues. Then, don't forget to always remember how to calculate your ideal weight above to find out whether you need to maintain, increase, or decrease it.
