1930The Beginning of the Journey

The journey began with a traditional jamu heritage passed down through generations.
1935The Birth of Sido Muncul

Armed with Mrs. Rakhmat's (Go Djing Nio) expertise in preparing traditional herbal medicine and spices, the couple decided to open a jamu business in Yogyakarta.
1940Establishment of a Limited Liability Company

Tolak Angin in a brewed form is now being marketed
1951Modern Factory

Established a simple company named Sido Muncul, which means “Dreams Come True”, on Jalan Mlaten Trenggulun, Semarang.
1975New Standard for the Jamu Industry

A limited liability company was formed under the name
PT Industri Jamu dan Farmasi Sido Muncul (previously incorporated as a CV in 
1997Expanding the Product Range

Sido Muncul built a modern herbal medicine factory covering 30 hectares in Klepu, Bergas District, Ungaran. The factory's construction was marked by a groundbreaking ceremony led by Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X on August 21 
2000Stepping into the Exchange

Sido Muncul inaugurated a new factory on November 11, 2000. The inauguration was performed by the Minister of Health and Social Welfare of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. dr. Achmad Sujudi MHA. At the same time, Sido Muncurl received two certificates equivalent to pharmaceutical standards, namely Good Traditional Medicine Manufacturing Practices (CPOTB) and Good Manufacturing Practices (CPOB).
2004Halal Product Guarantee

Producing more than 250 types of products. Our flagship products are Tolak Angin, Tolak Linu, Kuku Bima Energi, Alang Sari Plus, Kopi Jahe Sido Muncul, Kuku Bima Kopi Ginseng, Susu Jahe, Jamu Komplit, and Kunyit Asam.
2013Commitment to Sustainability

Sido Muncul has 109 distributors throughout Indonesia. Various Sido Muncul flagship products have also been exported to several Southeast Asian countries. On December 18, 2013, Sido Muncul was officially listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange under the ticker code “SIDO”.
2019Halal certificate

Sido Muncul obtained halal certificates from the Indonesian Ulema Council for 274 products. The certificates, received on March 6, 2019, cover four types of products: herbal medicine, supplements and supplement ingredients, beverages and beverage ingredients, and candies.
2022Green Industry Award

In November 2022, the Company received the Green Industry Award “Level 5” from the Ministry of Industry.
In November 2022, the Company received the Indonesia’s SDGs Action Awards 2022 award, as the Best Winner I, Large Business Actor Category from the National Development Planning Agency.
In December 2022, the Company received the Gold PROPER from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry for the third time
