10 First Aid Tips for Children with Upset Stomachs That Parents Need to Know!

Although this condition is often caused by something minor such as bloating or overeating, seeing your child complain of a stomachache can certainly make parents uneasy. However, don't panic just yet! Immediately provide first aid whenyour child has a stomachache so they can feel comfortable again as soon as possible. What kind of first aid for a child's stomachache can you do? Here are some options:  1. Lay Your Child Flat on Their Back When your child is in this position, muscle tension around their abdomen can gradually decrease, helping the uncomfortable pain subside more quickly. 2. Warm Your Child's Tummy with a Warm Water Compress Can warm water relieve stomach cramps? Yes, warm water can relieve stomach cramps.  The heat delivered through the compress can help relax and loosen the muscles while stimulating the digestive tract. Use this method for 15 minutes, and the pain will gradually subside, leaving the body feeling more relaxed. 3. Rub Eucalyptus Oil on the Tummy Eucalyptus oil is a versatile product that should always be kept at home because of its remarkable health benefits. When your child has a stomachache, applying this oil to the abdomen can provide soothing warmth and help release gas if they are bloated. A choice of eucalyptus oil you can rely on in various situations is Sido Muncul Tiga Anak Eucalyptus Oil. Made from 100% eucalyptus plant extract, this oil provides warmth that supports your child's health and comfort. Whether they have a stomachache, itching, or a stuffy nose. 4. Apply Grated Shallots to the Tummy Applying grated shallots is a traditional method used by people in the past to relieve stomach pain. You only need to finely grate a few shallots, mix them with coconut oil, and apply the mixture to your child's tummy.  5. Give Ginger Decoction Ginger has an extraordinary ability to reduce stomach pain, from relieving bloating with its carminative properties that facilitate gas release and easing cramps to reducing pressure on the valve between the stomach and esophagus, which can trigger acid reflux.[1] You can make ginger decoction by boiling ginger rhizomes directly or by steeping ginger powder. 6. Give Warm Water For a stomachache caused by constipation, drinking warm water can help the body soften the stool.  Try giving this water little by little so it does not cause bloating or worsen your child's condition. 7. Give Yogurt If you have yogurt at home, you can give it to your child to help relieve their stomach pain. Yogurt is known to effectively reduce inflammation in the intestines and stomach and regulate the growth of bacteria in the digestive tract, thereby improving digestive issues. 8. Massage the Tummy First aid for a child's stomachachecan also be provided by massaging your child's tummy. Place your four fingers together and massage your child's tummy clockwise, starting from the lower left side, then moving up across the navel and down to the right side of the abdomen.  This movement will help release gas from the tummy if the condition is caused by bloating, or stimulate abdominal contractions to help stool pass more quickly if the problem is constipation. If your child experiences excessive pain during the massage, stop immediately, as there may be an injury in their abdomen. Seek medical attention right away to find out what is wrong.  9. Apply Pressure to an Acupressure Point How can you quickly relieve a stomachache? You can try applying pressure to an acupressure point on your child's body to relieve the pain.  This method is similar to massage, except that the pressure is focused on a single point.  For a stomachache, you can apply pressure to the LI 4 point, located on the back of the hand between the index finger and thumb. Apply pressure to this point while making small circular motions.  10. Drink Chamomile Tea What is a natural remedy for a child's stomachache? You can try giving them chamomile tea if you have some at home.  This tea is known for its ability to relax the digestive tract, so drinking it can help relieve various stomach-related health issues, including bloating, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting.[2] This drink is ideal to give in the evening, as it can help your child sleep more soundly  without being disturbed by stomach pain. Child Having Trouble Sleeping at Night? Learn the Causes and How to Address Them

Children who have difficulty sleeping at night not only overwhelm their parents. In terms of development, a child's lack of sleep will affect many aspects of their life. Children are at a higher risk of obesity, their academic abilities may decline, and their emotions can become less stable and more prone to stress.[1] So, what are the reasons children have difficulty sleeping at night? And how can we address them so that your little one can sleep soundly? Let's find out here! Causes of Children's Difficulty Sleeping at Night Difficulty sleeping at night or frequently waking up during the night affects around 20% to 30% of preschool children.[2] Here are some of the causes: 1. Separation Anxiety from Parents Children who are used to sleeping with their parents will have difficulty sleeping if they have to sleep separately from them. They may start crying, screaming, or clinging to their parents when they are about to be left to sleep alone. 2. Inadequate Fruit Consumption Research shows that inadequate fruit consumption can trigger sleep difficulties in children aged 9 and older.  What makes fruit special? Fruit contains bioactive compounds that can reduce inflammation in the body and help alleviate sleep-related breathing disorders, thereby improving a child's sleep quality.[2] 3. Uncomfortable Bedroom and Unconducive Environment A comfortable sleeping environment, free from noise, with a room temperature that is neither too hot nor too cold, greatly supports sound sleep. However, if a child's bedroom is messy or exposed to noise such as sounds from the street, this condition will make it difficult for the child to fall asleep. 4. Excess Energy If a child is not active enough during the day, for example, not playing with friends or participating in school activities, their energy will not be fully utilized. This leaves them full of energy at night, which ultimately makes it difficult for them to sleep. 5. Excessive Computer or Phone Use Children's difficulty sleeping at night can also be caused by the habit of spending too much time playing with computers or phones.  The light emitted from the screen can disrupt the production of melatonin, which helps the child's body understand when it is time to sleep and wake up. This disruption to their internal clock will make it difficult for your little one to sleep at night. In children aged 6 to 14, researchers found that those with less screen time tended to have 90% better sleep quality. Not only that, these children also performed better at school, with an average grade of A or even A+.  Conversely, children who spend more time in front of screens tend to have poor sleep quality and average academic performance.[3] 6. Health Problems Another reason children have difficulty sleeping at night and are fussy is an illness they are currently suffering from. In addition to aches, fever, or a blocked respiratory tract, health problems can also make children more vulnerable to psychological issues, which directly affects their sleep quality. Furthermore, taking certain medications such as cold, cough, or diuretic medicines can also trigger insomnia as a side effect, making it even harder for children to fall asleep. How to Help Children Who Have Difficulty Sleeping at Night To help your child fall asleep faster and no longer wake up during the night, here are some solutions you can try: 1. Create a Comfortable Environment for Your Child Make your child's bedroom a comfortable place to rest. Choose a bedside lamp with soft lighting, provide a softer pillow to increase comfort, and ensure the room is free from outside noise by adding soundproofing. 2. Limit Screen Time To prevent blue light from devices from disrupting your child's biological clock, set a rule to stop playing with phones, computers, or watching TV before bedtime. Ideally, stop screen activities at least 30 to 60 minutes before bedtime, as recommended by scientists.[4] 3. Improve Your Child's Diet How can children fall asleep easily at night? In the long term, you can improve your child's diet. Add vegetables, fruit, and low-fat foods to their menu.  In addition, avoid high-fat and high-carbohydrate foods. Research shows that consuming these types of food can cause sleep duration to be shorter. Yet children need around 9 to 12 hours of sleep.[5] 4. Apply Sido Muncul Minyak Telon Plus Tiga Anak What should you do if your child has difficulty sleeping at night? You can try applying Sido Muncul Minyak Telon Plus Tiga Anak.  The warmth of this telon oil provides a comforting sensation that helps your little one fall asleep faster and more soundly. Understanding Skin Allergies in Children: Types and How to Soothe Them

Itching all over the body, nausea and vomiting, and swelling in several areas of the body can be signs of skin allergies in children.  What exactly triggers it, and what steps can be taken to manage it? Let's find out in the following review! What Is a Skin Allergy? A skin allergy is a body reaction marked by itching, rashes, swelling, and redness on the skin. This reaction occurs because the immune system mistakenly identifies harmless substances, such as food, pollen, or medications, as a threat. Normally, the immune system is responsible for fighting bacteria or viruses that cause illness. However, in cases of allergies, the body overreacts to things that do not actually need to be feared. This is what causes bothersome allergy symptoms. This allergic reaction is not only caused by direct contact with an allergen, but can also be triggered by food, drinks, or substances inhaled through the respiratory system. Types of Skin Allergies in Children In the medical world, there are many types of skin allergies that can occur in children, including: 1. Urticaria Urticaria, or hives, is marked by the appearance of red bumps on the skin's surface that feel itchy. Visually, the bumps resemble those you get when bitten by a mosquito, except that the bumps in this condition are usually clustered and spread out. This condition occurs due to skin inflammation caused by the release of histamine, a chemical produced by white blood cells when the body experiences an infection. What causes this skin allergy in children? 23% of cases are caused by food allergies, and 11.5% are due to medication, especially ibuprofen. Meanwhile, other causes can include heat, insect bites, and vaccinations.[1]  2. Angioedema Angioedema is a health condition in which bumps appear under the skin due to an allergic reaction to food, pet dander, and environmental factors, such as heat, water, and sunlight. Unlike urticaria, angioedema bumps are smooth and lack the texture of an insect bite due to fluid in the inner layer of the skin. 3. Eczema This skin allergy in children is caused not only by an overly reactive immune system to substances that can cause allergies, but also by stress.  You can recognize eczema by the appearance of a rash with dry-looking skin around it. On fair skin, this rash will appear red or purple. However, on darker skin, the rash will look brown or gray. This condition most commonly occurs in children aged one to four and will begin to improve as your little one gets older.[2] 4. Allergic Contact Dermatitis Allergic Contact Dermatitis is skin inflammation that appears shortly after the skin comes into direct contact with an allergenic substance. What are the signs of this skin allergy? Swelling and irritation are usually limited to the area directly exposed to the allergenic substance. For example, if a rash appears on a child's leg, the cause could be a plant or the material of the shoes they are wearing. Meanwhile, on the chest, the trigger could be sunlight or the use of sunscreen. How Can You Determine if Your Child Has Allergies? As a parent, you are naturally concerned about various things that can affect your little one's health, including allergies. To better understand what can trigger allergies, you can undergo the following tests at a healthcare facility: Skin Prick Test By pricking the skin with a small needle containing various allergens associated with airborne and food allergies, the doctor will examine your child's skin reaction. Based on that reaction, the doctor can identify the type of allergy your child has. Intradermal Test This test is similar to the skin prick test above, except the needle is inserted deeper into the skin's epidermis. This test is also used to identify allergies triggered by medications and toxins from insect bites. How to Soothe Your Child's Skin During an Allergy When a skin allergy strikes, you must maintain your little one's skin moisture so that the resulting itching is not too distressing and the skin calms down. One product that can be a reliable solution is Sido Muncul Minyak Telon Plus Tiga Anak.  The eucalyptus oil in it can help reduce itching, while the pure coconut oil will maintain your little one's skin moisture. Plus, with its soothing signature aroma, your little one can feel calmer even when they are feeling uncomfortable due to allergies. Relieving a Child's Cough? Try These 6 Effective Massage Techniques

When a child has a persistent cough, a cough massage for children can be a very useful alternative to relieve the symptoms. In addition to helping reduce the frequency of coughing, this massage also supports the healing process without making your little one dependent on medication.  Various Massages to Relieve Coughing in Children How can you stop a child's cough with massage? Try the following methods at home! 1. Massage to Target the Source of the Cough You can start the massage at the LU-5 acupressure point on the inner arm. This area is directly connected to the lungs and respiratory system, so you can reduce coughing directly at its source.  Sit upright and bend the child's arm. Use your thumb to gently massage the point inside the elbow.  Try doing this for one to two minutes while asking the child to hold their breath briefly. 2. Massage to Clear Blocked Airways Another way to massage a child's cough is to massage the KI-27 point below the collarbone. Massaging this point will help open the airways and reduce pain when coughing.  Find the KI-27 point below the collarbone, near the center of the chest. Use your fingertip to gently press this point. Massage in a circular motion for about 2 minutes. 3. Gentle Massage Technique to Relieve a Scratchy Throat Where should you massage a child who is coughing? When a child coughs continuously due to an itchy and uncomfortable throat, you can try pressing the PC-6 point. To find this point, place three fingers from the wrist.  Turn the child's wrist until the inner arm is visible and find the PC-6 point. Use your thumb to massage slowly, applying slight pressure, for about two minutes. 4. Massage for Chest Tightness When Coughing Where should you massage to help a cough recover quickly? If a child's cough is accompanied by chest tightness, you can add a massage to the CV-17 point in the center of the chest. Massaging this point will reduce the tightness that bothers your little one.  Position the child sitting or lying down comfortably and relaxedly.  Press the CV-17 point using your fingertip with a gentle yet firm touch. Press this point for one or two minutes, with the child slowly inhaling and exhaling. 5. Massage to Relieve Coughing in Babies For children under 3 years old or those still considered babies, try a baby massage.  Unlike typical massages that apply slightly firm pressure to the body, this baby massage focuses more on gentle stroking with light pressure, providing comfort for your little one. You can start this baby cough massage at the feet, then move up to the stomach, chest, arms, face, and end at the back. Perform this massage for just 15 minutes. A study conducted on babies aged 0 to 12 months revealed that this massage was proven to be up to 805% effective in reducing cough and cold symptoms.[1] 6. Massage to Help Babies Clear Phlegm One massage technique to relieve coughing in children that you can also try is gently tapping the baby's chest area. This movement is intended to help break up phlegm that accumulates in the airways, making it easier for the baby to cough it out. Position the baby slightly upright with a pillow behind their back for support. This step will help reduce discomfort from coughing while ensuring the baby remains comfortable and calm. Gently tap the baby's chest five times. Apply Sido Muncul Minyak Telon Plus Tiga Anak When massaging a child, you can add Sido Muncul Minyak Telon Plus Tiga Anak. In addition to warming the body thanks to its Ambon cajuput oil content, this product can also moisturize your child's skin with its pure coconut oil content. Causes and Effective Solutions for Treating Dry Skin in Babies

Dry skin in babies is not something you need to worry about excessively. However, this condition can make your little one uncomfortable because their body will feel itchy and their skin will be prone to chafing. Unlike adult skin, a baby's skin can be said to still be in the developmental stage.[1] Therefore, their skin is indeed more sensitive and very prone to dehydration. To prevent your baby's skin from becoming dry, let's recognize the signs of dryness in your little one's skin, what factors trigger it, and how to solve it! Signs of Dehydrated Baby Skin The following indications can be clues that your little one's skin is dehydrated and dry: Fine lines like small cracks begin to appear on the skin. Your little one's skin feels rough and is no longer as smooth as before. The skin color looks dull and pale. There are visible patches of peeling skin. The baby's skin shows rashes in several areas, including the face, around the lips, and on the ankles. It should be noted that peeling skin due to dehydration is different from vernix caseosa, which is the white layer visible when a baby is newborn. Causes of Dry Skin in Babies Why do babies have dry skin? Dry skin conditions in your little one can be triggered by several external factors such as: 1. Use of Products with Irritating Ingredients Some ingredients in products, whether shampoo, bath soap, or even lotion, can irritate your little one's skin and affect its moisture. Some examples are alcohol, parabens, formaldehyde, and polyethylene glycol.[2] It is best to carefully check the ingredients in products even if there are claims that the product is safe for babies. 2. Cold Weather Cold air with low humidity can make it difficult for a baby's body to maintain skin hydration. Moreover, during the first year, the stratum corneum layer that locks in moisture in the skin has not yet developed optimally in babies. 3. Common Mistakes in Bathing Routines Letting your little one bathe for too long will result in a reduction of the body's natural oils that help maintain skin hydration. In addition, rubbing your little one's skin too hard with a towel can also make their skin peel and become drier. 4. Use of Detergents and Fabric Softeners Although they do not come into direct contact with your little one's skin, detergent residue and fabric softeners left on clothes will make your baby's skin dry and scaly. How to Treat Dry Skin in Babies Maintaining moisture in your little one's skin is not difficult, you just need to change some old habits and apply several things that can help maintain skin hydration such as: 1. Reduce Your Child's Bathing Duration Spend just 5 to 10 minutes bathing your child. Also use a temperature that is not too hot, namely at 37 - 38 degrees Celsius, so that the body's natural oils are not lost during bathing.  2. Change Your Child's Bath Soap Choose a gentler bath soap, such as soap without SLS, fragrance, or alcohol. Although these ingredients have usually undergone safety testing and are suitable for use, some children may have sensitivities to them. Using a soap that is gentler on the skin will help maintain skin moisture and reduce the risk of irritation. 3. Apply Lotion After Bathing What should be used for dry skin in babies? To minimize cracked skin and a scaly appearance, you can apply a baby-specific lotion to maintain skin hydration. Choose a product without alcohol, fragrance, and coloring, which have the potential to irritate your little one's skin. 4. Apply Sido Muncul Minyak Telon Plus Tiga Anak In the middle of cold weather, Sido Muncul Minyak Telon Plus Tiga Anak not only provides warmth to your little one.  Made from ambon eucalyptus oil, citronella, cassia oil, and added coconut oil, this oil will maintain your little one's body warmth while keeping them away from insect bites and maintaining their skin moisture. Made from the best ingredients full of benefits, Sido Muncul Minyak Telon Plus Tiga Anak is guaranteed safe for your little one's sensitive skin. 5. Add a Humidifier to the Child's Room The vapor released from the humidifier will add extra moisture to the dry air, so the air will not draw moisture from the baby's skin. Place this device about one to 1.5 meters from the baby to ensure the vapor does not directly hit your little one. Celebrating International Children's Day is the right time to give the best to your little one. Don't let dry skin in babies disturb your little one's comfort. Use Minyak Telon Plus Tiga Anak regularly to provide warmth and maintain your little one's skin moisture every day. Shop Healthy and Economically at Sido Muncul Store! Child Suddenly Vomiting? Here Are the Causes and 9 Ways to Manage It

A child suddenly vomiting can be a sign of an underlying health issue. What causes it, and what is the best way to handle the situation? Find out here! Why Do Children Suddenly Vomit? There is no smoke without fire! Here are some things that can cause a child to suddenly vomit without warning: 1. Motion Sickness A child suddenly vomiting while in a car or boat can be triggered by a “mismatch” of messages received by the brain. The eyes see the moving scenery outside, while the body remains still.  Motion sickness generally begins to affect children around age 6 and peaks at age 9.[1] 2. Food Poisoning Consuming food contaminated with bacteria, expired food, or undercooked food can cause a previously healthy child to experience dizziness, stomach pain, and sudden vomiting.  Children under five are more susceptible to this because their immune systems are not yet fully developed.[2] 3. Anxiety What does it mean when a child suddenly vomits? In addition to the two issues above, vomiting can also be triggered by anxiety. Initially, the child may only feel nauseous, but if they experience significant pressure, the nausea can become unbearable and lead to vomiting. In children, this anxiety can stem from a pileup of schoolwork, social problems, or bullying by others. 4. Acid Reflux In children, the valve between the stomach and esophagus is not yet fully developed and may not function properly, allowing stomach acid to flow back up.  In addition to vomiting, you can recognize this condition by a child who coughs persistently, has wheezing breath, and burps frequently. 5. Overeating Children who cannot yet regulate their food portions often eat more than they should. This can increase pressure on the stomach, causing the child to feel nauseous and then vomit. How to Help a Child Who Suddenly Vomits What should you do when a child suddenly vomits? To help your little one feel better after vomiting, here are a few things you can do: 1. Give Warm Tea Drinking warm tea, such as ginger or chamomile tea, can soothe the stomach and reduce vomiting,[3] while replacing fluids lost due to dehydration. 2. Rub Your Child's Stomach with Eucalyptus Oil The warming sensation after applying eucalyptus oil will relax the muscles in the abdominal area, which can reduce nausea and make the child feel more comfortable.  3. Massage Your Child's Hand To prevent the child from vomiting again, you can massage the Nei Guan and He Gu acupressure points to reduce nausea. Massage for two to three minutes using gentle, circular pressure. 4. Have Your Child Inhale the Aroma of Eucalyptus Oil Eucalyptus oil contains 50%–60% anethole, which gives it a distinctive aroma. Inhaling this aroma can provide a sense of calm and reduce nausea.[4] 5. Keep Your Child from Eating for a While Do not rush to give your child a full meal or a lot to drink within 30 to 60 minutes after vomiting. Giving the stomach time to recover will help prevent newly consumed food from coming back up. 6. Let Your Child Rest with Their Upper Body Elevated After a child suddenly vomits at night, you can elevate their upper body while they sleep. This can help prevent acid reflux and relieve the resulting nausea and vomiting. 7. Give Your Child a Candy For nausea and vomiting caused by motion sickness, giving your child a candy can reduce the bitter taste that appears immediately after vomiting. It can also help relieve their nausea.  8. Apply a Cold Compress The cooling sensation from a cold compress on the forehead or the back of the neck can reduce nausea. You can use a washcloth soaked in cold water and apply it for five minutes.[5] 9. Give Your Child Sido Muncul Tolak Angin Anak Cair Does your child suddenly vomit in the middle of the night? Don't worry, you can rely on Sido Muncul Tolak Angin Anak Cair, which is easy and convenient for your little one to consume. No Need to Panic! Here Are 10 Ways to Handle a Child Vomiting at Night

When your little one suddenly vomits in the middle of the night, you will surely feel anxious and confused about what to do. Even so, don't panic! As first aid, there are various ways to deal with a child vomiting at night that you can try to help your child feel better. Let's learn more about the causes of children vomiting at night and effective solutions to deal with it here! Causes of Children Vomiting at Night Children vomiting at night can be caused by various factors. Some common triggers are: 1. Food Poisoning Food poisoning occurs when your child consumes food contaminated with bacteria such as Salmonella or E. coli. Other factors such as undercooked, spoiled, or food left out in the open for too long can also potentially cause this.  In this condition, besides vomiting, children will also experience stomach pain and dizziness. 2. Acid Reflux This acid reflux condition is not only experienced by adults but also children and even babies. The cause is an immature valve between the stomach and esophagus, allowing stomach acid to easily flow back up. As many as 23% to 40% of acid reflux cases in children are reported to occur in babies. Meanwhile, in children over the age of 10, the prevalence rate decreases to around 0.2% to 18.8%. As children get older, the risk of acid reflux tends to decrease.[1] 3. Coughing Coughing can cause a gag reflex in children. Vomiting while coughing is actually not a major problem; in fact, it can help children expel phlegm that obstructs their throat. However, if vomiting continues repeatedly, it could be a symptom of a more serious condition, such as pneumonia.[2] Besides the three causes above, vomiting can also be caused by a common cold, fatigue, or fever in children. To find out the exact reason, you can visit the nearest healthcare facility the next day if the vomiting does not improve. Ways to Deal with Children Vomiting at Night Surprised to see your little one suddenly vomit in the middle of the night? Don't worry, here are some things you can do: 1. Wait Until Your Child Finishes Vomiting What should you do when your child vomits in the middle of the night? First, you can help your child finish vomiting and not force them to hold back nausea. This can reduce stomach discomfort in children. After they are done, you can give your child water to drink little by little. Avoid immediately forcing your child to drink a lot of water or eat heavy foods. 2. Give Your Child Cold Water Cold water can relieve nausea, reduce the urge to vomit, and rehydrate the body after losing fluids due to vomiting.[3] However, make sure to limit their intake to just two or three sips, as this can trigger other health problems in children with weak immune systems. 3. Give Warm Ginger Tea If you are not confident about cold water, especially when your child also has a cough and cold, ginger decoction can be another option. Compounds such as gingerol and shogaol in ginger can speed up gastric emptying, thereby reducing nausea caused by digestive problems.[4] 4. Lay Your Child Down with Their Upper Body Elevated Elevating the upper body can help relieve nausea caused by acid reflux. Try adding an extra pillow under your child's head for a more comfortable position. 5. Give Oral Rehydration Salts To keep your child from becoming weak, the next way to deal with a child with a fever and vomiting at night is to give them oral rehydration salts. If you do not have any at home, you can add two tablespoons of sugar and half a teaspoon of salt to one liter of boiled water.  6. Massage Your Child's Neck Gently massaging your child's neck while they vomit can make it easier for them to expel the vomit. You can also apply eucalyptus oil to provide warmth and comfort in the area. 7. Massage Your Child's Hand Massaging the P-6 acupressure point can reduce nausea. Apply gentle pressure to the point on your child's wrist, then massage in a circular motion for two to three minutes. 8. Use the Scent of Eucalyptus Oil How can you make your child stop vomiting? You can ask your child to smell eucalyptus oil. The distinctive aroma of anethole in eucalyptus oil can provide calm and reduce nausea.[5]  9. Give Chamomile Tea You can deal with children vomiting and having diarrhea at nightby making your child a cup of chamomile tea. Besides being soothing, this herbal tea also has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, so it can reduce the severity of diarrhea.  Not only that, drinking it at night will also help your child sleep more soundly, so their recovery will be even better. 10. Food or Drink Poisoning If your child also has diarrhea, it is possible that their condition is caused by food contamination with Salmonella or E. coli bacteria, which triggers poisoning. This condition will not appear immediately after your little one eats, but six to 48 hours after the food is digested.  This is what makes it difficult for parents to identify the food that caused it.[1] 2. Diarrhea Diarrhea is a condition in which stool comes out in liquid form more frequently than usual. Children, especially toddlers, tend to be more susceptible to this disorder because their immune systems have not yet developed optimally.[2] 3. Common Cold A child who is always energetic and tireless while playing can catch a common cold. Its symptoms are not only vomiting and fever in children, but also a bloated stomach and a stuffy nose. 4. Dengue Fever What are the symptoms of a child having a fever accompanied by vomiting? For a fever that comes and goes, your little one may have dengue fever.  This disease does indeed tend to affect children more often, in the 5 to 14 age group, especially at the end of the year when the Aedes Aegypti and Aedes Albopictus virus-carrying mosquitoes breed rapidly.[3] 5. Appendicitis If the condition of a child with a fever and vomiting is also accompanied by severe stomach pain when walking, there is a possibility that the child has appendicitis.  This condition is quite rare in children. According to data, the incidence of appendicitis in children aged 7 to 10 is only 25 cases per 10,000 children every year.[4] 6. Typhoid Fever Also known as typhoid disease, typhoid fever in children is more commonly found in children aged 5-14 who are not properly cared for in terms of hygiene.[5] The main cause of this condition is Salmonella typhi infection, which can be transmitted through water and food. In addition to fever and vomiting, other symptoms that appear are red spots on the skin. 7. Covid-19 Although the number of cases has decreased quite drastically, covid-19 can still affect you and your family. In this condition, a child with a continuous fever and vomitingwill also experience shortness of breath. 8. Pertussis A child with a cough, fever, and vomitingcan be caused by pertussis, which is a respiratory tract infection caused by the invasion of Bordetella Pertussis bacteria.  Given that this condition is related to the respiratory tract, children affected by this condition will generally have difficulty breathing, cough with a loud sound, and feel chest pain. 9. Otitis Media A fever accompanied by the habit of a child pulling their ear can be a sign of otitis media, which is an infection in the area behind the eardrum. This condition most often affects children aged 1 to 6 years.[6] 10. Food Allergy A child may have an allergy to certain foods that parents have not yet realized. The signs are swollen eyes, lips, and face, as well as a runny nose. How to Handle Fever and Vomiting in Children What should you do if your child has a fever and is vomiting? As a parent, it is only natural for you to panic. However, stay calm so you can provide the best care so your little one can feel better: 1. Give Your Little One Cold Water Cold drinks will help relieve nausea and the urge to vomit.[7] However, make sure not to give too much, because consuming too much cold water, especially when the child also shows cold symptoms, can actually make the mucus thicker and harder to expel. 2. Compress the Forehead The body will naturally respond to external warmth by lowering its internal temperature, including fever. Therefore, applying a warm water compress will lower the fever. 3. Drink Sido Muncul Tolak Angin Anak Cair Using a combination of ingredients such as mint, cloves, fennel, and ginger, this herbal medicine is effective in reducing vomiting and fever, symptoms that often appear when a child catches a common cold. Containing high-quality herbal ingredients, this herbal medicine is safe to give to your little one aged between one and six years. Considerations for Taking Your Child to the Doctor Not all symptoms your little one experiences require a visit to the hospital, but there are certain signs you should not ignore, such as: The body temperature is excessively high, more than 38 degrees Celsius. The child is under 3 months old but their body temperature reaches 37 degrees Celsius. The child experiences seizures. However, that doesn't mean there are no treatments you can do.  There are several effective ways you can do, which are certainly safe for your little one. safely but effectively. What are the options? Read the full explanation here! Causes of Bloating in Children Ever wondered what triggers your little one's bloating? Before finding out how to relieve it, let's first learn about the causes of this problem in children! 1. Excessive Air Entering the Body Some simple activities done by children result in excessive air entering the body. For example, eating and drinking too fast, still drinking from a baby bottle, and also talking while eating.  2. Body Intolerance to Food or Drinks Some children have a sensitive digestive system to certain food ingredients and drinks. Although those foods and drinks are considered healthy to consume, a child's body that is sensitive to those ingredients can react negatively, such as causing digestive problems and gas buildup in the stomach. For example, children with lactose intolerance tend to experience bloating after consuming milk. Likewise, for children intolerant to gluten, consuming bread can cause bloating or even diarrhea. 3. Lack of Fiber Fiber consumption promotes smooth bowel movements. Unfortunately, children are often reluctant to consume vegetables or fruits, which are the best sources of fiber for the body. As a result, children have difficulty bowel movements and complain of stomach pain due to constipation. 4. The symptoms can also appear immediately, such as fever, nausea, and also a bloated stomach. 5. Some healthy foods like cabbage, broccoli,  wheat, onions, yogurt, apples, and also watermelon can also trigger gas in the body. How to Relieve Bloating in 4-Year-Old Children? Safe and suitable for children, here are several ways to relieve bloating in 4-year-old children that you can try: 1. Apply this mixture to the child's stomach, and let the warm sensation help release gas slowly.[1] 2. Kaffir Lime Leaf Compress What is the natural remedy for bloated children? Besides red onion, you can also utilize kaffir lime leaves. The essential oil content in it will help your child feel more relieved and comfortable. You can take kaffir lime leaves and heat them over a fire until wilted. After that, add coconut oil and stick the leaf on the child's stomach. Do this repeatedly until the child feels improvement and feels more comfortable.[2] 3. Massaging Your Little One's Stomach The massaging motion will help the stomach release gas trapped inside. Here is how to do it: Lay the child down in a supine position.  Position your hand on the left side of the stomach and massage from the lower left up, then move your hand to the upper right.  Do the same on the right side. Start the massage from the lower right up to the upper right, then to the upper left. No More Bloating! Here Are 5 Safe & Suitable Remedies for Children

Although it is not considered a serious condition, a bloated stomach can make your little one feel very uncomfortable. Fortunately, there are many children's bloating medications that can help you safely relieve your child's bloating. Want to know the options? Find out here! Causes of Bloating in Children Curious about what makes your little one's stomach bloated? Before discussing how to address it, let's first find out the common causes of bloating in children. 1. Aerophagia Active children who like to laugh and talk have the potential to experience aerophagia, a condition in which children swallow too much air. As a result, the swallowed gas accumulates in the abdominal area and causes bloating. This condition can affect children of all ages, from babies to early adolescents.[1] 2. Constipation Data shows that 89% of children in Indonesia do not consume vegetables, the body's main source of fiber.[2] Is your child one of them? If so, the bloating your child experiences could be one of the symptoms of constipation, a condition characterized by difficulty having a bowel movement, which is often caused by an insufficient fiber intake. 3. Consuming Certain Foods Consuming foods that are not well suited to the digestive system can trigger bloating. For example, in children with lactose intolerance, drinking milk can cause bloating because the stomach has difficulty digesting the lactose in milk. Some of the most common food intolerances in children are lactose, gluten, fructose, and MSG intolerances.  4. Common Cold Not only adults, children are also susceptible to common colds, especially when the weather is cold. This condition is often accompanied by symptoms such as fever, body weakness, and a runny nose. 5. Consuming Gas-Producing Foods or Beverages Several types of food can cause gas to build up in the stomach. For example, chewing gum can cause you to swallow more air. In addition, carbonated drinks such as soda can also increase the amount of gas in the digestive system. Not only that, some foods known to be healthy can also trigger gas formation, such as onions, apples, pears, broccoli, and cauliflower. Children's Bloating Medication Unlike adults, who can easily express the discomfort caused by bloating, children often have difficulty conveying how they feel.  As a parent, you need to be attentive to the signs of bloating in your little one, such as a distended stomach that feels hard when touched. If you notice these signs, here are several options for children's bloating medication that can provide a solution: 1. Jarak Leaf and VCO Compress What is the remedy for children's bloating? For those who want a traditional remedy that has been proven over generations to have a positive effect, you can try a jarak leaf compress with added coconut oil (VCO). The combination of the two can help the body release gas through burping or flatulence. Take several washed jarak leaves, then heat the leaves until they wilt and add VCO. Afterward, place the leaves on your little one's stomach for 10 to 15 minutes.[3] 2. Drink Turmeric Extract What can be given to help children pass gas? You can give your child turmeric extract that you make yourself at home.  With its carminative properties, turmeric extract will prevent gas formation in the stomach and help the body expel the gas that causes bloating.[4] You can obtain turmeric extract by grating turmeric and squeezing out the extract, or by boiling sliced turmeric rhizomes like brewing tea. 3. Shallot Grate Compress Another traditional remedy for children's bloating is a shallot compress on the stomach. These shallots can relax your child's abdominal muscles, allowing the trapped gas to easily escape.  To use this method, you can crush 2-3 shallots and then grate them. Add two tablespoons of coconut oil, half a tablespoon of eucalyptus oil, and lime juice to the grated shallots. Once mixed, apply the mixture evenly to the abdominal area.[5] 4. Consume Ginger Tea Another way to treat children's bloating is to give them warm ginger tea.  Ginger will smooth the digestive process, preventing food from accumulating and triggering gas buildup in the stomach.  Try brewing ginger powder with hot water or boiling ginger rhizomes to get the optimal benefits. 5. Consume Sido Muncul Tolak Angin Anak Cair In addition to the various options above, you can also address children's bloating with Sido Muncul Tolak Angin Anak Cair. With herbal ingredients such as ginger, mint, clove leaves, and fennel, this product can help your little one expel disturbing gas.  Practical and easy to consume, this product is also safe for children aged one to six years and older. Treating Diabetic Wounds: Care and Signs of Healing

Wounds in diabetes patients that are not properly treated can lead to serious complications, even resulting in amputation. Learn how to properly manage diabetic wounds and recognize the signs of a healing diabetic wound here! Understanding Diabetic Wounds A diabetic wound refers to an open wound on the body of someone with diabetes. Of all the areas of the body, the feet are the most vulnerable to these wounds.  The main cause is the body's reduced ability to feel pain or pressure. Therefore, patients often do not realize they have an open wound on their foot. Whether caused by a sharp object or simply chafing from wearing tight shoes and sandals. This condition does not occur in all patients diagnosed with diabetes. According to data, only about 15% - 25% of patients experience wounds, with 25% being women and 75% being men.[1][2] Signs of Diabetic Wounds How can you tell if the wound you have is a diabetic wound? Because diabetes is often diagnosed late, about 4-7 years after the condition appears and begins to worsen, many people do not realize that the type of wound they have is a diabetic wound.[3] To prevent delayed treatment, here are some signs that can help you identify it: The wound is shaped like an open round callus. The wound emits a foul odor. Pus is present. Dead tissue around the wound appears dark brown to black. Although injured, no pain is felt. Guide to Caring for Diabetic Wounds How long can a diabetic wound take to heal? The healing of this wound takes quite a long time, which can be weeks or even months, depending on how well you care for it. The sooner you treat the wound, the faster it will heal.  You should know that although this may look like an ordinary wound on the body, without proper care, the wound can develop into a much more serious problem, even resulting in amputation. As first aid at home, before seeing a doctor, here are several things you can do: Ensure the Scratched or Torn Area Stays Clean Disinfect your wound with an antiseptic or wash the wound with soap and running water. Gently dry the wound area using a tissue or sterile gauze. Apply a sterile bandage over the wound to protect it from dust and bacteria that could potentially cause infection. Try to Keep Pressure Off the Wound Area Since wounds generally occur on the foot area, such as the sole of the foot, you should use crutches or a leg brace so that the wound does not receive pressure when walking. Reduce Blood Sugar High sugar levels will trigger plaque buildup in the blood vessels. As a result, blood flow becomes less than optimal. However, good blood flow is essential for the body to deliver white blood cells and promote angiogenesis, so the wound can dry and heal faster. Therefore, it is important for you to maintain your body's sugar levels. This can be done by avoiding foods that are high in sugar, carbohydrates, and have a high glycemic index. Also, drink plenty of water and eat high-fiber foods, such as broccoli, spinach, and cauliflower. You can also consume Sido Muncul Diabe. This supplement containing meridian, mulberry leaves, and cat's whiskers leaves will work effectively from within to maintain blood sugar levels in the body and reduce diabetes symptoms. What Are the Signs of a Healing Diabetic Wound A diabetic wound that is starting to improve has specific signs that can be observed. Some signs of a healing diabetic wound include: 1. The Wound Begins to Close You can recognize a wound that is improving and healing quickly by the closing and drying of the wound that was initially open and wet. You will see a new layer of skin begin to grow, slowly covering the wound area.  2. Itching Appears in the Wound Area Nerve cells in the skin that are slowly healing will trigger an itchy feeling around the wound area. You do not need to worry about this reaction, as it is normal.  Although the itching may feel very bothersome, try not to scratch it. Scratching will only make matters worse by reopening the wound or increasing the risk of infection. 3. The Wound Is No Longer Red When a wound is fresh, the visible change in the skin is that its color turns slightly red. This is the body's natural reaction indicating increased blood flow to the injured area.  Basically, this increased blood flow helps supply the oxygen and nutrients the body needs to speed up the wound healing process and prevent infection. Therefore, when your wound has improved, the redness of the wound will gradually fade and return to its original skin color. On this World Diabetes Day, increase your awareness of the importance of diabetic wound care to avoid more serious problems.  If you do not see the signs of a healing diabetic wound after several weeks of home care, immediately visit the nearest healthcare facility to get better treatment before it is too late! 10 Vegetables People with Diabetes Should Avoid—They Can Raise Blood Sugar!

Vegetables are commonly associated with healthy eating. However, there are some vegetables that people with diabetes should not eat.  This is because some types of vegetables contain starch or carbohydrates, have high sugar content, and have a high glycemic index, all of which may cause blood sugar levels to rise.[1] Rather than helping your body become healthier, eating these vegetables may actually make your condition worse. Which vegetables should people with diabetes avoid? Here is a list of vegetables that are best avoided for now: 1. Potatoes The white residue you see when washing potatoes is starch, a type of complex carbohydrate, which is why you should avoid potato-based dishes. In addition, potato products also have a high glycemic index. For example, boiled potatoes have a glycemic index of 70, while baked potatoes score around 95. This means eating them can quickly trigger a spike in blood sugar.[2] 2. Cassava Boiled cassava is often thought of as a healthy, old-fashioned food. As a result, some people replace white rice with boiled cassava because they consider it healthier. However, eating it may actually worsen the condition of people with diabetes.[3] That’s because 100 grams of cassava contains 38 grams of carbohydrates. Yet the recommended amount of carbohydrates is only around 15–25 grams per meal.[4] 3. Corn Boiled corn and corn ribs—which are currently trending—are delicious and make a great snack between breaks. Unfortunately, with 17 grams of carbohydrates, these corn snacks are not ideal for people with diabetes. You could try lower-carb alternatives, such as edamame or baby corn, which contain only around 11 grams of carbohydrates. 4. Butternut Squash Butternut squash is another food that people with diabetes should avoid. Although dishes made with butternut squash may look appetizing, this vegetable contains around 20 grams of carbohydrates. Additionally, even when boiled—a cooking method often considered healthier—butternut squash still has a fairly high glycemic index of 75. This means it can cause your blood sugar to spike quickly after you eat it. 5. Taro Taro contains around 26 grams of carbohydrates, making it a good source of energy. However, people with diabetes should be cautious when eating it, as it can raise blood sugar levels.   What’s more, taro takes a long time to cook—around 20 to 30 minutes. Keep in mind that the longer food is cooked, the more easily its carbohydrates are digested by the body and converted into sugar.[5] 6. Sweet Potatoes Vegetable-based snacks, including sweet potato chips, went viral a while ago. These snacks are healthy because they are made from dried sweet potatoes. However, sweet potatoes themselves contain around 20 grams of carbohydrates, making products made from them less suitable for people with diabetes. 7. Canned Vegetables What vegetables should people with diabetes avoid? Of the many options, canned vegetables are best avoided. With a glycemic index of up to 65, canned vegetables can trigger an unwanted spike in blood sugar. 8. Beets With around 7 grams of sugar, beets are one of the vegetables you should eat less of.  Although beets offer many health benefits, their high sugar content can affect your blood sugar levels, especially if you eat them with other high-sugar vegetables, such as onions and carrots. In addition, boiled beets also tend to have a high glycemic index of 65. 9. Radishes Who doesn’t know radishes? These crunchy vegetables are a staple in many Korean dishes, including kimchi and danmuji. But did you know that radishes have a fairly high glycemic index of around 85? So, if you’re watching your blood sugar levels, it’s best to stop eating them or cut back for now. 10. Juiced Vegetables Another type of vegetable that people with diabetes should avoid is vegetables processed into juice, which is currently popular as a diet drink.  Juicing vegetables makes them easier to consume. However, this method also increases the sugar content of the vegetables you use, including green vegetables that people with diabetes can eat, such as spinach and kale. Rather than being healthy, this may actually worsen your condition.[6] As a way to care for your health, especially in recognition of World Diabetes Day, start taking better care of your body. In addition to avoiding or reducing your intake of the foods above, take care of your health by taking Sido Muncul Diabe.  Formulated with quality herbs such as meniran, cat’s whiskers leaves, and mulberry leaves, this herbal supplement may help relieve diabetes symptoms. Diabetes in Women: Symptoms, Causes, & How to Manage It

By gender, women are five times more likely than men to develop diabetes.[1] By recognizing the signs of diabetes in women, you can take preventive or early action to keep the condition from getting worse. Signs of Diabetes in Women Physically, women are 30% more prone to obesity, one of the main causes of diabetes.[1][2] Therefore, women are at greater risk of developing diabetes.  Some of the signs of high blood sugar in women include: 1. Vaginal Itching People with diabetes usually have high levels of sugar in their urine. As a result, when they urinate, the urine creates an ideal environment for fungi and bacteria to grow in the genital area. This can lead to itching and vaginal discharge due to a fungal infection. 2. Bladder Dysfunction This condition refers to the body's inability to control urine flow, causing urine to leak or pass unexpectedly. It affects around 50% of women with diabetes.[3] 3. Vaginal Dryness Another sign of diabetes in women is dryness in the genital area.  High blood sugar levels can damage blood vessels in the genital area, reducing natural lubrication. In addition to causing discomfort, this condition can also lower libido during sex.[4] 4. Irregular Periods Another sign of diabetes in adult women is irregular menstruation. The body's increased insulin production to manage blood sugar can lead to excessive testosterone production. This can trigger PCOS and cause irregular periods.[5] Causes of Diabetes in Women The causes of diabetes in women depend largely on the type of diabetes they have. Here's an explanation: Type 1 Diabetes:  This condition is caused by factors beyond a person's control, such as viral infections and genetics, which prevent the body from producing enough insulin. Type 2 Diabetes: In women, this condition is caused by obesity resulting from an unhealthy lifestyle, including food choices and lack of exercise. Gestational Diabetes: This condition is caused by hormonal changes during pregnancy and generally goes away on its own after childbirth. What Are the Effects of Diabetes in Women? Not only can diabetes leave you feeling weak and drowsy, but if left untreated for too long, it can develop into more serious health problems, such as heart disease, blindness, premature birth, and even miscarriage. Diabetes Treatment Options Diabetes treatment is basically the same for men and women. You can try the following steps to improve your condition: 1. Insulin Injections When diabetes becomes severe, insulin injections can help meet the body's insulin needs and keep blood sugar levels under better control. Consult a doctor to determine the right insulin dose for you. 2. Taking Sido Muncul Diabe World Diabetes Day is a great opportunity to focus on your health. Sido Muncul Diabe, formulated with herbs, offers a solution to help relieve diabetes symptoms.  Enriched with Java tea leaves, mulberry, meniran, and Indonesian bay leaves, this herbal supplement helps relieve diabetes symptoms and helps you control your blood sugar. Let's work toward a healthier, better-quality life! 3. Lifestyle Changes For people with less severe diabetes, a healthy lifestyle can be key to managing the condition. Here are some simple steps you can take to improve your health: Avoid foods low in sugar and carbohydrates, such as potatoes, corn, rice, and squash. Maintain a regular exercise routine, for at least 30 minutes each day. Make sure you get 7 to 9 hours of sleep each night. How to Prevent Diabetes Since obesity is a leading cause of diabetes in women, start preventing it by maintaining a healthy weight. Here's how: Choose Your Daily Foods Carefully Start eating healthy foods that are high in fiber and low in sugar and carbohydrates. Also avoid foods with a high glycemic index, such as white rice, white bread, French fries, rice cakes, donuts, and crackers. Monitor Your Calorie Intake Regardless of the type of food, eating too much can put you at risk of weight gain and diabetes. Instead, control your portions and aim for 1,600 to 2,400 calories a day, the average calorie requirement for women.[6] Stay Active Instead of spending your free time lounging while scrolling through social media or watching TV, get moving and work up a sweat. You can do various exercises at home, such as squats, sit-ups, or planks. The key is to keep your body active. You can help prevent diabetes with simple steps like those above, but doing so requires a long-term commitment. It may take some effort, but it's well worth it for a healthy body. Remember, the longer you leave diabetes untreated, the greater the risk of organ damage. Therefore, visit your nearest healthcare facility as soon as possible if you experience any of the signs of diabetes in women listed above! Shop Healthy and Save at Sido Muncul Store! 10 Recommended Fruits for People with Diabetes, Plus Serving Sizes

For people with diabetes, fiber intake is recommended because it helps your body lower blood sugar, and fruit is a delicious source of fiber that is easy to enjoy anytime. The question is, are there fruits that are safe for people with diabetes? This question may have crossed your mind because some people say that those with diabetes should avoid fruit because of its sugar content. This statement is not entirely wrong, but it is not entirely true either.  People with diabetes can still enjoy fruit, as long as it is not high in sugar and carbohydrates and you do not eat too much of it.[1] So, which fruits are safe choices? Best Fruit Choices for People with Diabetes When you have diabetes, you cannot choose fruit just any way. You need to consider its nutrients, fiber, glycemic index, and sugar content, while limiting your carbohydrate intake to 15 grams per meal. To make things easier, here are some fruits you can choose from, along with the recommended serving sizes: 1. Pears Pears are indeed high in sugar. However, they are among the foods with a relatively low glycemic index, at around 38. This means they are digested slowly by the body, so they do not cause a sudden spike in blood sugar.  To avoid eating too much, do not have more than one small pear per meal. 2. Green Apples Which fruits are good for people with diabetes? Try green apples. Not only do they have a glycemic index of just 39, but they also contain quercetin.  This compound can lower blood sugar by regenerating pancreatic cells, stimulating insulin secretion, and strengthening the body's response to insulin.[2] To follow the recommendation, one bowl of sliced green apple is enough to meet your fiber needs. 3. Strawberries Strawberries are beneficial for people with type 2 diabetes. The anthocyanins they contain can help the body respond better to insulin.[3] As a healthy choice, eat one bowl of strawberries without adding sugar or honey. 4. Blueberries Blueberries reduce the amount of sugar attached to red blood cells.[4] In addition, with a glycemic index of 53, they are a safe choice for your daily menu, as long as you eat no more than 3/4 cup a day. 5. Papaya Eating the flesh of this fruit increases sugar uptake in liver and muscle cells, reducing its concentration in the blood.[5] To enjoy it, you can limit your intake to one bowl a day.  6. Oranges With a glycemic index of just 44, you can safely eat one orange a day. Interestingly, one study also found that drinking orange juice can lower blood sugar by up to 11%.[6] 7. Kiwi Which fruit quickly lowers blood sugar? Kiwi can be one option. This fruit is packed with flavonoids, compounds that help the body produce insulin.[7] To enjoy its benefits, you can eat one large kiwi. 8. Peaches Another fruit suitable for people with diabetes is the peach. Each peach provides 2 grams of fiber, which helps maintain blood sugar levels and slow sugar absorption in the body. To avoid eating too much, just have one small peach to help maintain balance in your body. 9. Green Grapes A lack of potassium in the body can cause it to produce less insulin.[8] Interestingly, grapes are a good source of potassium and have a low glycemic index of 46.  Even so, do not eat too many of them. Just 15 grapes are enough to keep your blood sugar under control. 10. Pomegranates What should people with diabetes eat more of? You can eat more pomegranates. With its abundant fiber—4 grams per 100 grams of fruit—pomegranate can help address insulin resistance in the body and lower blood sugar levels. Young People Can Get It Too: 10 Signs of Diabetes at a Young Age

According to the data, diabetes is indeed more common among middle-aged people, namely those over 45.[1] Even so, young people can also develop it, especially if they have an unhealthy lifestyle. To recognize it, check whether you have these signs of diabetes at a young age! What Are the Signs of Diabetes at a Young Age? Diabetes in young people is commonly found among those aged 18 to 39.[2] Here are some signs that may appear in your body: 1. Sudden, Drastic Weight Loss You may recognize the early symptoms of diabetes by noticing that your body is getting thinner, even though your food portions have not changed. When insulin does not work properly to carry sugar into the cells, the body does not get enough energy. As a result, it burns fat and muscle for energy. This can cause you to lose weight suddenly, generally over two to three months.[3] 2. Excessive Thirst When there is too much sugar in the blood, the brain signals the body to remove the excess sugar through urine. To help this process, the brain makes you feel thirsty so your body gets enough fluids to help flush out the sugar more efficiently.  3. Frequent Urination As explained above, the body keeps trying to remove excess blood sugar through urine. This cycle can continue—the more urine you pass, the more dehydrated you become, and the thirstier you feel. 4. An Unending Appetite Healthy people usually feel hungry around 3 to 4 hours after eating. However, people with diabetes may feel hungry sooner because their bodies lack energy, which can trigger hunger signals more often. 5. Vaginal Itching and Discharge Signs of diabetes in young women include vaginal discharge and itching.  The high sugar levels in the urine of people with diabetes often encourage fungal growth in the vaginal area, causing discomfort in the form of itching and vaginal discharge. 6. Easily Fatigued When you are young, you usually have more energy to stay active. But this may not be the case if you have diabetes. When insulin problems prevent your body from producing energy from sugar, you may become easily fatigued. 7. Feeling Sleepy Easily Feeling sleepy after staying up late to do assignments or watch your favorite series is normal.  However, if you often feel sleepy for no apparent reason, this could be a sign of diabetes at a young age, as the body’s cells are deprived of sugar for energy because it remains trapped in the blood. 8. Dry Eyes and Blurred Vision High blood sugar can disrupt the body’s regulation of fluids and damage the small blood vessels in the eyes. As a result, your eyes may feel dry, look swollen, and your vision may become blurred. According to reports, 13% of young people with diabetes experience eye problems.[4] 9. Wounds That Become Infected Easily and Heal Slowly In people with diabetes, reduced oxygen flow due to poor blood circulation makes it difficult for white blood cells to reach injured areas, so wounds can become infected easily. In addition, the formation of new blood vessels (angiogenesis) is also impaired, causing wounds to take longer to heal.[5] 10. Dry Skin Signs of diabetes affecting the skin at a young age include dull, dry, cracked, or even scaly skin. This occurs because frequent urination to reduce blood sugar leaves the body short of fluids. Causes of Diabetes Research shows that diabetes in young people is more often associated with obesity and lifestyle than with heredity.[6][7] Some factors that may contribute include: Spending more time lying around or using a computer or phone than exercising. Eating foods high in calories, saturated fat, and sugar. Frequently staying up late. How to Manage Diabetes the Right Way Ignoring diabetes for a long time can put vital organs, such as the heart, kidneys, and eyes, at risk of damage. To avoid these harmful effects, here are some solutions you can try: 1. Get Treatment Treatment may include oral medications that help insulin work more effectively and lower blood sugar, or insulin injections. Your doctor will recommend the most suitable treatment.  2. Make Lifestyle Changes Set aside time for physical activity, eat appropriate portions, reduce sugar and carbohydrates, and make sure fiber is an important part of your diet. 3. Take Sido Muncul Diabe This herbal supplement contains extracts of cat’s whiskers leaves, mulberry leaves, meniran, and Indonesian bay leaves to help relieve diabetes symptoms safely, so you can feel more comfortable throughout the day and commemorate World Diabetes Day.  Preventing Diabetes at a Young Age You can help prevent diabetes by living a healthy lifestyle. This includes eating nutritious foods, exercising regularly for 30 minutes a day, getting 7 to 9 hours of sleep each night, and quitting smoking and drinking alcohol. Health is the most valuable long-term investment. If you notice signs of diabetes at a young age, seek medical advice promptly so you can receive timely and appropriate care. No Equipment Needed: 10 Exercises to Reduce Belly Fat

You don't need to spend a lot of money on a gym membership to get rid of a pot belly that can often make you feel self-conscious. That's because there are plenty of belly-slimming exercises you can do at home that can effectively help slim your stomach. These exercises require no additional equipment and can help flatten your belly: 1. Plank This exercise may look simple, but it has a significant impact on your deep abdominal and front abdominal muscles.  Research even shows that doing planks for 30 days, starting with 20-second holds and gradually increasing to 300 seconds, can reduce waist and abdominal circumference by up to 2.3%.[1]  Keep in mind that although the change may seem small, this figure reflects the results of just one type of exercise performed for a matter of seconds. 2. Flutter Kick Another exercise for flattening a pot belly is the flutter kick. For this exercise, lie on your back, lift your legs, and alternate kicking them up and down. Do this for 45 seconds in five rounds. 3. Sit Up A beginner-friendly belly-slimming exercise is the sit-up, as the technique is not too difficult to master. Simply lie down, bend your knees, and then lift your upper body halfway to work your abdominal muscles. To see the benefits, try doing three sets of this exercise, with 8 to 12 repetitions per set. 4. Crunches Have you ever seen someone with a six-pack? Well, crunches target the abdominal muscles that form a six-pack.  To do this exercise, get into the same position as you would for a sit-up, then lift your head and shoulder blades. Try doing 15 repetitions for 3 rounds. Research on crunches as an exercise for reducing belly fat in women shows that they are more effective at reducing waist circumference than sit-ups. This is especially true when you do them regularly for 4 weeks.[2] 5. V-Crunches Like crunches, v-crunches target the rectus abdominis muscles that form the six-pack. The difference is that with v-crunches, your legs are held straight up, which maximizes the contraction of your abdominal muscles as you lift your head and shoulder blades. Do 10 to 15 repetitions, then repeat for two more rounds. 6. Bicycle Crunches Broadly speaking, this exercise targets the same muscles as other crunch variations, but adds a pedaling motion, which also works your thigh muscles. Try doing three rounds of this exercise, with 15 to 20 repetitions per set. 7. Leg Raise If you're looking for a belly-slimming exercise to do before bed, leg raises are an exercise you can do on your bed.  By lifting both legs and focusing the movement on your abdominal muscles, this exercise builds muscle mass and burns fat around your belly, helping it look slimmer and firmer.[3] Try doing this exercise for 10 minutes before bed, every day for 12 weeks, to see the results. 8. Mountain Climber What exercise can slim your belly quickly? In addition to the options above, you can also try mountain climbers. This exercise starts in a position similar to a push-up, but instead of moving your hands, you move your legs as if you're walking. This movement effectively works your core muscles, helping to tone and slim your belly. Set aside time each day to do two sets of 10 to 20 repetitions. 9. Burpee Burpees combine several movements into one repetition and can help boost your metabolism. In other words, this exercise can help your body burn more calories and reduce fat stores, including around your belly. However, because burpees combine squats, jumps, and push-ups in one sequence, they also carry a higher risk of injury. 10. Squat Jump Exercises that help build abdominal muscles, such as squat jumps, can help you achieve a flatter belly. Beginners can start with 10 to 20 seconds of this exercise. Once you feel more comfortable, you can increase the duration to 30 or 40 seconds. Along with exercising regularly, you can support your efforts to slim your belly by taking Sido Muncul Galian Singset. Formulated with jati belanda leaves and betel leaves, this herbal drink is made to support your diet by reducing body fat.  To achieve your ideal body, make some of the belly-slimming exercises above part of your daily routine. An Ideal Body Without the Gym: 10 Benefits of Doing Squat Jumps at Home

You don’t always have to go to the gym or buy expensive exercise equipment to stay fit and maintain an ideal figure. Squat jumps are a practical alternative that you can do anywhere without any extra equipment. Although the movement may seem simple, the benefits of squat jumps are greater than you might think. What are the amazing benefits of this exercise, and how do you do it? Read on for all the details, then start practicing at home! What Are the Benefits of Squat Jump Exercises? This dynamic exercise requires quite a bit of effort. Here are some of the benefits you can gain: 1. Improves Physical Endurance Not exercising regularly can reduce your endurance and overall fitness, leaving you more prone to feeling tired and exhausted.  However, doing this exercise regularly can strengthen your body and improve your stamina. Over time, you’ll have more energy to stay active for longer while feeling fit. 2. Strengthens Leg Muscles If you enjoy sports like soccer or futsal after work, this exercise is ideal for strengthening your lower-body muscles. This can help you perform better on the field.[1] 3. Tones the Buttocks Squat jumps work the glutes, a group of muscles in the buttocks that influence their shape.[2] Exercising these muscles can increase their size and definition, making your buttocks look firmer and fuller. 4. Reduces Belly Fat One of the benefits of squat jumps for men is that they can help reduce belly fat, which is often a problem area for men with protruding bellies. Basically, squat jumps also engage your core muscles, including your abdominal muscles. As a result, the movement can promote fat burning in the belly, helping you achieve a slimmer waistline. 5. Helps Relieve Menstrual Pain One benefit of squat jumps for women is that they can help relieve menstrual pain by improving blood flow to the pelvic area.[3]  However, you shouldn’t start this exercise as soon as your period begins. To avoid shocking your muscles and triggering joint pain, you should first get your body used to squat jumps. It’s best to start practicing a few weeks before your period.  6. Helps Improve Balance As a plyometric exercise, this workout plays an important role in building stronger leg muscles. Stronger legs can also give you better balance. If you often feel unsteady when walking, this exercise can help you walk with better balance and feel more stable.[4] 7. Increases Bone Strength Exercises that involve jumping, such as squat jumps, can increase bone mass and density. This means your bones become stronger and better able to withstand pressure that could cause injuries or fractures. 8. Supports Heart Health The repeated jumping and squatting movements in this exercise raise your heart rate, making it a great cardiovascular workout for heart health. 9. Helps Reduce the Risk of Future Joint Pain When done with proper technique, this exercise not only strengthens your muscles but also trains your joints to handle a range of activities. Stronger joints can help reduce your risk of developing joint pain in the future. 10. Promotes Weight Loss The fast, intense movements in this exercise can speed up the process of burning fat and excess calories. You can burn up to 100 calories with just 30 jumps. For even better results, you can combine this exercise with Sido Muncul Instant Belly-Slimming Herbal Supplement, specially formulated to support your weight-loss journey. Made with lempuyang, Java tea leaves, and temulawak, this herbal supplement helps optimize fat burning so you can lose weight faster. How to Do Squat Jumps Although the movement may look straightforward, proper technique is still important to minimize the risk of injury. Here’s how to do it: Stand upright with your feet shoulder-width apart. This position helps you maintain stability and generate power as you jump. Bend your knees and push your hips back. Make sure to push your knees slightly outward. Once you’re in a stable position, swing your arms back and then forward as you push off with both feet to jump. As you begin to descend, bend your knees again so you can land in a squat position. After landing, you can jump again from the squat position or stand upright before repeating the movement. Squat jumps are a simple exercise, but their benefits are no joke. Fit them into your busy schedule to stay healthy and work toward a more ideal body shape. Shop Smart and Save at Sido Muncul Store! From Skin to Blood Sugar, Here Are 15 Benefits of Drinking Water

Water may seem simple, but the benefits of drinking water for your body are abundant. In fact, doctors often advise their patients to drink more water every day. Here are some tangible benefits you can experience: 1. Relieves Constipation Does your stomach often feel bloated because you rarely have bowel movements? You can address this issue by drinking 500 ml of warm water in the morning for three days.[1] 2. Keeps You Hydrated What are the effects of drinking water every day? The most noticeable effect is that your body gets the fluids it needs. This allows your organs to work more efficiently, delivering oxygen and producing energy. 3. Reduces Migraines Around 3.5 million people in Indonesia suffer from migraines,[2] are you one of them? If so, try increasing how much water you drink. Although it won't work instantly, drinking 1.5 liters of water for at least two weeks has been shown to help shorten the duration of migraine attacks. And if a migraine strikes again, the pain may be less severe.[3] 4. Helps Your Body Relax Another benefit of drinking warm water is that it helps your body relax after a busy day. Drinking warm water can widen blood vessels, helping blood circulate better throughout the body. This can relax muscles that were previously tense, leaving your body feeling more relaxed. 5. Helps Relieve Menstrual Pain The throbbing pain that comes with menstruation is a common enemy of women everywhere. The good news is that you can ease this discomfort in a simple way: by drinking water.  Make a habit of drinking water for the three days leading up to your period, following this schedule:[4] 2 glasses shortly after waking up 2 glasses 1.5 hours before breakfast, lunch, and dinner 1 glass before bed 6. Relieves Dry Mouth One of the most bothersome effects of having a dry mouth is bad breath, as bacteria can thrive more easily. Water can help reduce this symptom and keep your mouth moist by stimulating saliva production. 7. Softens Fine Lines One benefit of drinking water before bed is that it can reduce fine lines on your face. This benefit comes from water plumping up the skin, making it look fuller and firmer and helping to minimize signs of aging.[5] 8. Brightens Your Complexion One benefit of drinking plenty of water for your face is that it makes your complexion look brighter and more radiant. When your body gets enough fluids, your skin can look more radiant and less dull. As a result, your complexion may look brighter than before.  9. Reduces Stress on Your Organs Many people may not know that dehydration can put as much strain on your organs as stress does. As a result, you may feel nauseous, tired, and dizzy. That's why it's so important to stay hydrated. 10. Flushes Toxins from the Body Through Urine Exposure to the pollution you breathe in, along with eating unhealthy foods, can cause toxins to build up in your body. Interestingly, drinking water can help your kidneys work more effectively to filter these toxins and flush them out through your urine. 11. Helps You Lose Weight What are the benefits of drinking plenty of water? If you're struggling with excess weight, drinking water regularly can help you lose weight. Water can make you feel fuller and support the breakdown of fat in your body.[6] However, water isn't the only thing that can support weight loss. You can achieve better results by taking Sido Muncul Fatraper. Formulated with vitamin C and chitosan, this herbal supplement can help reduce body fat, helping you look slimmer and more toned. 12. Helps Manage Blood Sugar Drinking water regularly can help dilute excess sugar in the blood. This habit can help keep blood sugar levels stable, alongside paying attention to your diet. 13. Gives You More Energy Drinking water supports the delivery of nutrients and oxygen throughout your body. It's no wonder you feel much more energized after drinking it. 14. Improves Brain Function Have you ever found it hard to focus, only to have someone suggest drinking water? It turns out there's some truth to that advice.  Water can help your brain work more effectively by improving the flow of oxygen and blood to the brain, allowing you to think more clearly and stay focused. 15. Supports the Immune System Getting enough water helps your body circulate immune cells in your blood and lymph more effectively, giving your body better protection. With so many benefits, you can start adopting a healthy lifestyle by making a habit of drinking water. Men are advised to drink 3,000 ml of water a day, while women should drink around 2,200 ml.[7] Always remind yourself to drink water regularly and let your body experience the benefits of drinking water as described above! How to Calculate Your Daily Food Portions for a More Effective Diet

In the effort to achieve your ideal body weight, limiting the amount of food you eat is one of the things you need to do. But what is the right portion size for a diet? Find out here! How Much Should You Eat Per Day on a Diet? How much food you can eat while trying to lose weight depends on your body's calorie needs. Therefore, these needs differ from one person to another.  To determine your calorie needs, you can calculate your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate), or the minimum number of calories your body needs to function, then multiply it by your physical activity level. BMR Formula Men BMR: 66.5 + (13.75 x weight) + (5.003 x height) – (6.75 x age) Women BMR: 655.1 + (9.563 x weight) + (1.850 x height) – (4.676 x age) For example: Let's say Rio is a 25-year-old man who weighs 70 kg and is 170 cm tall. The calculation would be:  66.5 + (13.75 x 70) + (5.003 x 170) – (6.75 x 25) = 1,710 Kcal Physical Activity Level Once you have your daily calorie requirement, multiply it by your physical activity level. See the table below: Activity Level Physical Activity Factor Rarely physically active 1.2 Does light exercise that is not very intense or frequent 1.3 Exercises fairly regularly at a moderate intensity almost every day of the week 1.55 Exercises consistently every day for a full week at a high intensity 1.725 Exercises every day and does physically demanding work 1.9 Calculating Daily Calorie Needs Based on the table above, if Rio rarely exercises, the calculation is:  1,710 Kcal x 1.2 = 2,052 Kcal The calculation shows that Rio needs about 2,052 calories per day. So how many calories should you consume while dieting? Calculating Calories for a Diet Based on the calculation above, you can reduce your daily calorie intake by 500 calories. Experts recommend this amount to help ensure your body continues to function optimally while supporting weight loss. 2,052 - 500 = 1,552 Kcal If your diet goes smoothly and your calculations are correct, you could lose around 450 grams per week.[1] Macronutrient Portions While Dieting You can't just eat whatever you like; you also need to follow dietary guidelines that regulate how much of each macronutrient you consume every day, for example: Carbohydrates Carbohydrates are an integral part of our diet in Indonesia, including rice, potatoes, cassava, and corn.  For a good balance, keep your portion of rice or other carbohydrate choices while dieting to around 130 grams, or 45% to 60% of your total calories. Protein Eggs, meat, legumes, and seafood are common sources of protein served as side dishes. You can aim for about 0.36 grams of protein per unit of body weight, or 25%–35% of your calories. Fat Dieting doesn't mean you have to avoid fat completely. Your body still needs it as a source of energy. Make sure your intake of healthy fats is around 65 grams, or 25% to 30% of the calories you need.[2] You can get healthy fats from foods such as fish, olive oil, avocados, and nuts as healthier choices. Healthy Daily Meal Portions for a Diet Have you heard the saying, “Eat breakfast like a king and dinner like a beggar” to maintain an ideal weight? There's some truth to this advice! Research shows that consuming more calories at breakfast than at dinner supports optimal weight loss.[3] You can follow this guideline: Breakfast: 50% of calories Lunch: 35% of calories Dinner: 15% of calories If you enjoy snacking, you can have snacks in moderation, as long as they don't exceed 15% of your total daily calories. Meal Times for a Diet Although it may seem trivial, meal timing can affect how your body stores and burns fat.[3] Here are some recommended meal times: Breakfast: Before 9:00 a.m. Lunch: Between 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. Dinner: 4 hours before bedtime To get the most out of your efforts, complement your diet with Sido Muncul Fatraper. Containing chitosan and vitamin C, this herbal supplement can help reduce fat buildup, leaving your body looking firmer and slimmer.  Adjust your diet portions and take Sido Muncul Fatraper regularly—3 capsules a day. This can help you achieve your dream body sooner! Shop Healthy and Save at Sido Muncul Store! Earn reward points with every purchase, collect points, and redeem them for discounts!
